LONG CHAPTER AHEAD

Wooyoung came barreling down the hallway, practically bouncing with excitement. "San! San! Halloween is THIS THURSDAY, and we still haven't done anything!"

San, sprawled on the couch, glanced up from his spot where their cat lazily rested on his lap. He raised an eyebrow, half-amused and half-annoyed. "And why exactly do you care? Isn't that stuff for kids?"

Wooyoung threw his hands up in exaggerated exasperation. "What? No way! This is the last year I get to experience Halloween before graduating uni! I want to enjoy it to the fullest!"

San rolled his eyes, trying to suppress a smile at Wooyoung's enthusiasm. "You're really going to whine about this? You're not a kid anymore, Wooyoung."

"Yeah, but that makes it even more important!" Wooyoung continued, his voice taking on a dramatic tone. "I have to make this Halloween epic! What if I never get to dress up again? I'll regret it forever!"

San let out a heavy sigh, trying to maintain his cool demeanor. "Fine. We'll do something for Halloween. Just don't expect me to wear anything ridiculous."

At that, Wooyoung's face lit up like a thousand fireworks, and he jumped up and down in delight. "Yes! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I promise I won't pick anything too embarrassing for you!"

"Great," San replied dryly, though he couldn't help but smile at Wooyoung's uncontainable energy. "But I swear, if you show up in some over-the-top costume, I'll laugh."

"Challenge accepted!" Wooyoung declared, a triumphant grin spreading across his face. He turned to their cat, who had barely moved. "What do you think,? Are you ready for the most epic Halloween ever?"

The cat blinked lazily, clearly unimpressed with the sudden surge of energy around him.

As Wooyoung continued to bounce around the room, San couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth at Wooyoung's enthusiasm. Maybe Halloween wouldn't be so bad after all.

"Alright, let's figure out our costumes. I guess we should probably get some candy too," San conceded, leaning back against the couch.

"Chocolate!" Wooyoung cheered, practically vibrating with excitement. "This is going to be amazing!"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As they entered the bustling shop, Wooyoung's eyes sparkled with excitement. The air was thick with the scent of plastic and cotton, pumpkins and fall-y scents. Everywhere he looked, vibrant costumes adorned the shelves. Suddenly, inspiration struck him like a bolt of lightning.

"I have an idea!" Wooyoung exclaimed, his voice cutting through the noise of the shop. He quickly turned to San, who was already half-exasperated, half-amused by his friend's enthusiasm. "Let's keep our costumes a secret! It'll be more fun that way!"

San rolled his eyes, but a small smile tugged at the corners of his mouth. "Sure, whatever you say. I'm just here for your sake."

Without warning, Wooyoung wrapped his arms around San in a tight hug, squeezing him with all his might. "Thank you! You're the best!"

Before San could respond or even comprehend the sudden surge of affection, Wooyoung was off, darting down an aisle filled with colorful costumes. San watched him go, shaking his head in disbelief but feeling a warm glow in his chest. As long as Wooyoung was happy, that was all that mattered.

The scene shifted to Wooyoung's perspective, his heart racing with excitement. He darted past witches, monsters, and superheroes, searching for something that would perfectly capture the spirit of Halloween.
