"Before you take your life"

Before you take your life, will you please read this note
I'm sure you've spent hours perfecting one of your own,
Not leaving any tear drops behind on the blue and red lines
And I don't know what pushed you to this point
But what I do know is that you will be alright
Rain brings rainbows, and clouds bring shine
And the voices inside are only telling you lies
Before you take your life, will you please hear me out
Because I promise that you're not the only one around
Who feels this way about themselves no matter what they do
Like you're looking into a sky that is anything but blue
And you're screaming out for help, but nobody seems to hear
Now you're drowning in a lake full of your own fears
Before you take your life, please remember that
That little kid inside who was anything but sad
That little kid who played with blades of grass
And you were able to fantasize that life was easier than
So why can't you do it now?
Why now are you falling to the ground
Do you not see what others see?
But those blades of grass are razors now, and they're sinking into your wrist, and you're just going to town
But before you take your life, please read this note
Because I know all you really need is a little bit of hope
You don't understand why your brain is this way
All the anxiety inside and your dopamine is drained
But wipe those tears and put down the pencil
Because life is worth more than a pain in the heart
So before you end your life, please read this note
It might just change something deep in your soul.
