School has ended, all the students are now heading home, Sam is about to exit the classroom with Kiera having her arm around Sam's shoulder as she's talking to him about new gossips. But as soon as they's about to walk out the door, someone calls out to Sam.
"Sam, may I speak to you for a bit?" their homeroom teacher calls out to him, he and Kiera turn around to look at their teacher.
Sam nods "Oh yes, sure" a said respectfully as he walks towards the teacher.
"I'm heading out first, bye" Kiera goes out the classroom after she lets Sam knows that she's going out.
"So, about Cameron, since he's absent for today, and the nurse informed us about his sickness, so to help a student in need, we figure out that you can help him review today's subjects to his house?" the teacher said as he looks at Sam with a face as if saying, please.
Sam tilts his head wondering why he needs to go to his house "But sir, he's still sick, shouldn't he rest for now rather than studying?" he gave the teacher an awkward smile.
The teacher places his finger under his chin "Well, you can lend him some notes about what your class learned for today, maybe you can do that?" he then places his arms on the table.
"Wait, doesn't that mean that I'll be going to his house then?" he asks wondering if that's not all.
The teacher then nods "Yes you will"
"Umm... let me think sir" he looks away from the teacher and looks outside to think. But his thoughts were cut.
"Sam, please so no one gets left behind, okay? And you're a good kid Sam, I know you can do it" as if there is a plead inside of the teacher's voice.
Sam stops for a bit "Okay sir... I'll do it" this feels like a lot of work, he'll do it to not disappoint anyone.
"Excellent, you may take your leave now" and with that, Sam bows and walks out of the classroom.
'I feel like I have to give him some of my notes... and probably... I might need to tutor him...'
5:30 PM, Cameron is just lying in bed boredly, he used up all of his phone batteries again and he has nothing to do, he looks at the three books on his desk.
'Why do these books have to be boring... I even finished it all, I HAVE NOTHING TO DO!!' he then flops himself on the bed.
'Well, at least I don't feel sick anymore... but then I'll return back to school tomorrow, and worst part, I don't even know what I have missed out in class... why do I have to be sick in my second day...'
With his thoughts, someone comes in his room "Cam, that Sam kid is here, he's looking for you basically" his Aunt, Jane said with a commanding tone as she then walks away without even closing the door of his room.
'Sam?' he lifts his head up from his bed 'What is he doing here' he didn't want to get up, but he has to anyway as he brings his foot to the side of the bed then climbs down, he's facing on the floor lazy to get up.
'Why do I have to get up... I don't wanna...' he's too busy with his thoughts that he didn't even notice that someone is standing in his doorway.
"Umm... are you alright Cameron?" a worried voice asked, this caught Cameron off guard and immediately looks up at the person. Sam is there, standing in his doorway with a bag, but he isn't on his school uniform, but he has his school supplies with him.
"AHH!!!" Cameron immediately sits up and back up a little too much till his back hits his bed. He winced in pain since the hit is harsh.
"GAH! CAMERON, ARE YOU OKAY!?" Sam drops all his stuffs and went to Cameron; he gently holds Cameron's aching back which Cameron reacted in pain.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!?" he yelled backing up from Sam immediately as points at him in both shock and anger.
Sam immediately explains "Well, I am here because I will review you what we learned in class today while you were absent today, so I came here!" and waved his hands repeating in front of him hoping that Cameron will not yell at him.
"A- and why did you come to my room instead of waiting for me?" Cameon has finally calmed down but is still fully convinced. Although, his voice is full of command.
Sam scratched the back of his head "Actually, I've been waiting for minutes, so Miss Jane said that I should just come to your room, I tried to refuse since it seems like an invasion of privacy, but she refuses to let me wait for more, so she decides to headfirst before I do.... so... yea?" he smiled awkwardly with his eyes close as there is sweat coming from his forehead this it dripped on the floor.
"Ugh... AUNTI!!! YOU COULD'VE JUST CALLED ME DOWNSTAIRS INSTEAD OF TELLING HIM TO COME TO MY ROOM!!!" Cameron yelled angrily so Jane can hear him which he knows that she's probably in her room which is just next to his room.
"SORRY KID BUT YOU'RE TAKING TOO LONG!!" she yells back from her room with a nonchalant tone of voice.
"UGH... JUST.... agh... whatever" he faces palm himself in frustration.
While Sam just sits on the floor with him awkwardly not wanting to interfere with the whole shenanigans right now.
Cameron sighs "So, you're here to review me?" he asked to the awkward Sam, Sam turns his head to Cameron.
"Oh yes, so...." he didn't know what to say.
"Just get your stuff and sit on that chair" Cameron points at the chair to his desk.
Sam nods as he stands up and goes towards the doorway where he dropped his stuff earlier, as he picks up his stuffs, he could hear Cameron wincing in the back.
'Darn it... if only I didn't scare him earlier, he wouldn't've hit his back, now I feel guilty for that'
He stands up with his stuffs in his arms now "Hey uhh, sorry about back... do you need some help?" he asks full of concern for the boy with as his face has a soft expression.
Cameron looks at him, he turns his head on the floor still holding his back and massaging it "It's fine, just knock next time..."
'But your door is open though...' Sam didn't want to voice that out.
