The Night Walk

Chapter 21

With Sam and Cameron standing in the club room with a tired looking Vincent inside who's begging for some club room help issue, they could tell that what Vincent is panicking about might be either serious or deadly serious.

'He's really tired, I wonder what happened here' Sam thought for Vincent with concern, he then looks at Cameron who didn't look concern but is confused instead.

They both then stared at each other and didn't know what to do in this situation.

"Uhh... Vincent Sunbae" he then held both Vincent's shoulder and he turns switches their position with Vincent near the couches and Sam being near the table "Why don't you sit down and tell me what's going on, slowly" with a gentle tone of voice from Sam and push, he gently pushed Vincent on the couch making him sit down. Which somehow works for Vincent as he's taking a breath slowly calming down.

'Wow, that worked...' Cameron then walks up to both of them but not too close as he still gives them distance. He watched as Vincent calms down with Sam comforting him from whatever he's breaking down of 'Wait... am I even allowed to see this?'

As Vincent is still taking some breath, he then opens his eyes and see Sam gently rubbing his shoulders gently as a way to calm him down and to comfort him along with a gentle expression on his face "Thanks, but I do need some help-" Vincent pauses realizing that someone who's not part of his club is inside as he looks at Cameron's direction.

'Why is he looking at me' Cameron didn't know why Vincent is looking at him as if he's a stranger that just randomly walks in the club room just to see what's happening when he's been in here ever since he pulled Sam inside.

"You" Vincent points at Cameron which then Sam looks at the direction Vincent is pointing at, which by then made Cameron all confused and alarm by the sudden pointing "You're not a club member, so I will respectfully ask you to leave" which causes Sam to be alarmed by Vincent's command.

Sam then immediately turns his head towards Vincent "Huh? Can't he stay though?" he's now worried for both Vincent and Cameron.

'What if Cameron gets out without me, he'll get lost since I hadn't toured him the entire school yet, and if something happens to Vincent Sunbae, and if I leave Vincent Sunbae alone and go out with Cameron, what if he'll do something that'll affect his health like before and especially that he seems to be needing some help right now'

"Fine the, I will leave since I have nothing to do in this darn club room anyway" the voice of Cameron was rather harsh, probably because he got told to leave which actually sound rude coming from the person who told him to.

And a 'hmmp' came from Vincent's mouth "Good, only members are allowed to be here anyway since this is a meeting for Club Members only" Vincent then looks to the side not batting an eye to Cameron.

'Please don't see each other as someone who will be a nuisance in each other's eyes, you both just met' Sam at this point wants to just make them talk nicely at each other.

"Hey uhh... guys please don't be like tha-" but then, Cameron cuts up Sam's words with an excited sound.

As Cameron's eyes passed the shelf, he saw a book that caught his eyes "OH MY GOSH!! You read 'Dandelions?'" Cameron asks excitedly as he picks it out of the shelf full of other books.

Just then, Vincent too looks somehow in a change mood just to look at what Cameron is talking about as his expression too became excited "Yes I do! Do you know it?"

Vincent then excitedly walks to Cameron as he opens the book or novel's pages "Of course I do, why wouldn't I be this thrilled? I can't believe you have this! It's been sold out so fast" Sam could see a huge star in Cameron's eyes as he checks each page. Well, the novel is indeed a fast sold one, but it's not known by many since the copies aren't a lot.

"Well, luckily, I have it, gosh this is the first time I've met somehow who knows this novel" he stops besides Cameron who's now reading the page prologue.

Cameron reads the first paragraph for only seconds "Hey, who's the president of this club?" he asks as he looks at Vincent with a star in his eyes.

And Vincent proudly points himself "That would be me" he said with a smile, as if his breakdown didn't happen just earlier.

"I am joining the club" with a straight to point answer coming from Cameron, this made Vincent happy.

And without any warning, Vincent snatches Cameron's left hand then starts shaking it violently "I am happy that you join here, fellow reader" he said with a wide smile, which then Cameron snatches his hand back and wipes it.

"Dang, your hand is sweaty, and also, I don't like physical touch..." he stated with a now straight face.

"Oh come on I am just glad that someone is actually willing to join here..." as the two were talking.

Sam is just at the back staring the at the two who are just talking and talking while either bickering or talking about their love for the novel.

'Am I dreaming or they change moods easily...'
