The Night Walk

Chapter 28

Kiera's wrist right now is being tightly gripped by a certain red head guy, the 4 of them decides to walk home together, but for Vincent and Kiera's case of them walking with Sam and Cameron, even though their houses aren't in the same direction as Sam and Cameron's houses, it's because of Sam inviting them to his house because of his mom making a lot of jjajangmyeon.

As Kiera's being dragged by Vincent, she's giving him a dirty look "Vincent Sunbae, I can walk you know" 

Vincent rolls his eyes at her remarks "oh please, you'll run off somewhere if I am not going to grab you"

"HAH!? I'm a grown woman for your information!" a huff escapes her lips as she looks away closing her eyes, showing her disagreement.

"You're 16 so you're still basically a kid, Kiera" his statement caused Kiera to pout.

Sam just glances at them, especially at Kiera "Well, I am glad that you're able to join us though Kiera" he smiles a little.

"How can I not join; I love your mom's cooking" she beamed after mentioning his mother.

A grateful smile form on his lips "I know you like her cooking"

"Love Sam, love, get it right" she demanded, her eyes turned into a glare.

Sam sweats "Uhh, right, you love her cooking" he smiles awkwardly then.

And again, Kiera's face beams "That's what I thought"

Sam then glances at Cameron who's walking beside him, but not close "Are you sure you're not going to join us?" he asks.

"No, I told you, I have things to do at home" he glazed over the neighborhood's flower, especially the roses that are planted near the front door.

Sam smile stayed on his face but it's not happy "Oh, okay... but if you change your mind then feel free to come"

Cameron just nods as a respond. And well, Kiera and Vincent are just bickering behind them while walking and Kiera is still being held tightly by Vincent.

Sam looks at the house "We're here now, see you tomorrow Cameron" he waves a goodbye to him, which he just slowly waved a little for a respond. Which after that, Cameron continues his way home.

"Wow, just earlier in the club, he's really talking a lot" Vincent bluntly said towards Cameron's current behavior.

Kiera looks at him shocked "HAH!? HE TALKS A LOT EARLIER!?" her face turned pale of if she just saw a ghost.

 "Well yes, he does, why?" finally, Vincent lets go of Kiera's wrist.

They then walked towards the house "Well..." Sam decides to reply "He doesn't talk to anyone, well, he does talk, but only for a short amount of time and then he'll leave"

"Wow, but I kind of notice that he kinda talks to you like, not a lot but he still talks to you out of the three of us the most" which Vincent notices even just after meeting him just earlier, 

'Sure, he yapped about books but that was just a short amount of time and then we began for the search, but earlier, when we are about to walk back after lunch, out of Sam and him, he chose to drag Sam' he thought the whole day of spending with Cameron, which is a misunderstanding about the after-lunch part.

Sam then steps to the door mat and unlocks the door to which he immediately went inside taking off his shoes before going further "Mom! I'm home! Kiera and Vincent Sunbae are also here!" he yelled and went to the kitchen where he was hit by a fragrant smell of black bean sauce that immediately spread to the entire kitchen and living room.

There, he sees his mom still stirring the sauce on the boiling pot "Oh, you're here" his mom smiles welcoming him.

Just then the other two peaked inside the kitchen revealing their heads which Vincent on the upper and Kiera on the lower "Auntie! Smells good!" Kiera then sprints to his mom and headed straight to the stove to take a look at the now done black bean sauce.

"Kiera! Don't just rush in!" Vincent also goes inside the kitchen just to go after Kiera, Sam just sighs at the two and starts walking out the kitchen.

He turns his head back "Mom! I'll just wash up" he headed upstairs.

"Just don't take too long!" the mom then turns off the stove. 

She hears sounds behind her, he turns around and sees Kiera fixing the table and Vincent preparing the plates "We'll help Auntie!" Kiera said as she wipes the table with a towel.

"Aw no, please just sit down" she wanted to stop them from helping her but kids being kids are just a bit stubborn themselves.

"No no, we'll help" Vincent then places 4 plates on the table with each chair placed near it.

'Haaahh... kids...' the mom thought but she's really grateful that these kids are her son's friends.

"Let me get these for you" and just then, Vincent goes to the sauce and scoops it and transfers it in a bigger bowl.

The mom then worries "oh, be careful, it's hot"

He proudly picks up the bowl of black bean sauce which are still piping hot "I'm okay Auntie, I'm good at this" he heads to the table carefully, and without any warning, Kiera somehow dashes to the table holding a big plate of noodles inside.

'How did she get here without me noticing her... never mind, that kid is just fast' she feels like she's about to get a heart attack by Kiera's energetic behavior.

And right on time, Sam comes back wearing his everyday outfit which are grey t shirt and black pants "Oh, can I help with something?" he sees that his friends have prepared almost everything.

His mom looks at him "oh, get the kimchi and pickled radish in the fridge" she said as he nods and heads to the fridge to get a container full of the said food, he looks at his mom as she's scooping some rice from the rice cooker.

"Let me help you with that" Kiera pops up beside her which she slightly jumps and got the rice taken out of her hands by Kiera who just went to the table and places it.

'Pfft, they'e always like this' he thought to himself.

*Knock knock knock*

A knock from the door was heard, which got their attention "Huh? Who could that be?" Vincent asks while staring at the door.

"I'll get it" Sam hurries to the door and reveals the familiar short boy.

"Hey" it's Cameron.

"Cameron! Hi!" Sam's surprise by Cameron's presence which is just right in front of him.
