The Night Walk

Chapter 29

"Oh, what brings you here?" Sam asks, not expecting to see Cameron in to come at his house.

Cameron sighs "Well, Sasha baked lots of Cupcakes at home" he lifts his arms to show the topper ware full of light blue cupcakes inside "So she asks me to bring some for you" he hands Sam the cupcakes.

Which Sam took using two hands underneath "Oh, thank you, want to come in?" he asks.

"I already told you-" but before Cameron could even finish, a certain white haired girl pops behind Sam.

She beams "Shorty, you're here" she walks behind him and starts pushing Cameron inside.

"Huh?" Cameron glances at her "Wait! I'm not coming" he tried to go back outside but he's already inside.

Sam panics "Wait, Kiera! Don't force him!" he's still carefully holding the cupcakes to not ruin the cute light blue frosting.

"Huh?" Vincent peaks his head from the kitchen entrance "Oh, Newby is here" 

"Oh? You have another friend?" then, his mom walks out the kitchen surprised.

"Mom... guys... please" Sam just looks down, ashamed for what's happening right now.

Cameron no longer knows what to do, because there's an adult in front of him now while Kiera's hands are still on his back "Ugh... fine, I'll stay" he's indeed defeated.

Sam's head perks up "Huh? But Cameron, don't you have things to-" he's about to finish but Cameron just glares at him to stop talking, which the glare is not visible to the others which only Cameron can see, so he shuts up.

"YEY!" she continues to bring Cameron towards the kitchen.

The mom just smiles at her son, and Sam who's a bit ashamed, but it's not that noticeable to the mom's eyes "I'm glad you made another friend" she places her hand on his shoulder.

Sam looks at her "Oh yes, he's my new friend" 'Although, I don't think he sees me as one yet...'

Later, they are now eating some jjajangmyeon, with the sound of slurping from Kiera while eating a lot.

'Can't lie, her cooking is good' Cameron thought while he's eating a small portion of the meal. Just then, someone puts another chopstick of jjajangmyeon on his bowl, he looks at the person only to see Sam's mom smiling at him.

"You should eat more Cameron, eating is good" she pulls her chopsticks back then continues her meal.

"Thank you" he said the looks at his bowl.

'Uhh... I guess I can't refuse this...' he just starts eating a bit, while he's eating, Sam's been observing him while eating.

As Sam's checking up on Cameron 'Does he really eat this small?' well, he didn't hear what Vincent and Cameron's been talking about back at the cafeteria earlier since he's in a deep thought 'I'm worried, now that I think about it, I wonder what'd he been through in the past... does his eating is also a part that happened back to his past' this thought made Sam over think.

He snaps back when someone pokes his arm "Sam, where are you looking at?" asked Vincent curiously looking at him.

To which, Sam realized that he's been staring at Cameron for long, which turns his face red out of shame of himself "Ah! Nothing, I'll just finish my bowl now" he speeds up his eating which confuses the others.

'Huh?' they all thought while watching the fast-eating Sam.

After dinner, Sam and Cameron are both walking outside.
