It's been hours, his eyes are glued to the window watching the scenery outside, there are birds flying by and some landed on the branch of the tree near the window, he's just lying on the clinic bed and his back's been hurting, with a sigh, he sits up on the bed and starts to stretch his arms out and bends his back backwards.
*Crack*
That was the sound of his back cracking, he's been laying for hours, and he's been awake since then, he couldn't sleep after the nurse had left and she's not back for hours. Cameron lays back down after feeling his head as heavy more than he could imagine, it must be the fever still.
After a moment of just laying down and doing nothing, the clinic's door slides open which causes Cameron to look at the opened door immediately.
A head peaks in the clinic and with that, it's those fluffy black hair from before.
"Oh, you're awake" it's Sam as he enters the clinic fully carrying Cameron's backpack using his right hand "School has finished" he goes over to Cameron's bed.
Cameron just rolls his eyes "Geez, you're here to take me home, right?" he asks, looking at Sam who just places his backpack on the foot side of the bed.
Sam goes over beside him as he reaches both his hands for him "Can you stand up? But be careful since you still look sick" he reaches both his hands to Cameron signaling him to take his hands, which Cameron just slaps one of them away. Much to Sam's surprise expression reacting from the slap's impact that he felt from his hand, he just rubs it.
"Don't touch me" Cameron glares at Sam as he tries to sit up, which he can but he feels dizzy because of his fever, causing him to lower his head, he groans from annoyance because of this fever.
While Sam was forced to watch Cameron struggling to stand up, but he knows that just by Cameron's glare for his earlier, he knows that Cameron doesn't like being touch which is why he's only standing in the room awkwardly as he keeps on watching Cameron struggling.
After minutes, Cameron seems to have given up as he just sat on the bed, completely tired, he glares at Sam which causing the already awkward boy beside him flinch.
"Ugh.... just this once... help me up...." Cameron, now asking for help, he reaches out his hands for Sam to help him stand up. But Sam knew better than for the sick boy to stand up.
Sam takes off his bag "I don't think you're meant to stand up right now...." he then turns around which made Cameron face his back as he crouches, Cameron stares in confusion "Ride on my back so you wouldn't have to walk right now" he looks over his shoulder so he could check up on Cameron who is still sitting on the bed. And he sees a stunned Cameron who's staring at him as if he had just said something disturbing.
"Hah?" and Cameron looks like he's ready to punch Sam.
Well Sam, by the look of Cameron's face, it made him shiver out of fear knowing that he'll be definitely be punched later "You know! Because you can't seem to stand properly so which made it seem like you might not walk properly!" he had a panic look on his face.
They both stared at each other awkwardly, Cameron seems to be trying to hold back from punching Sam while Sam had a panic expression on his face.
Minutes later....
There aren't many people on the street, and some are grown up who seems to be heading to their homes, at the sidewalk that's heading towards a specific neighborhood, Sam who walking with two back carrying on each side using his arms, and a sick and sleeping Cameron on his back whose hands were gripped on Sam's shoulders, he's been like this for 2 minutes...
'Why did I even think of this idea....' Sam's embarrassed, not because of Cameron, it's, just that he looks silly carrying a person on his back with 2 bags on each side of his arms, the grownups are watching his carrying many things, including Cameron.
"Oh, would you look at that dear, do you remember when you carry me like that back in the days?" an old woman, asked her husband after seeing Sam and Cameron.
The old man laughs "Yep, I still remember, clear as day" the old man says to his wife, which Sam heard from them, he doesn't know what to say he just speeds up his walk.
'This is so.... wait... I didn't even get to asked where his house is!'
