3rd Person
"We're finally here!!" A girl on the bus yells, pointing out of her window towards a sign.
Welcome To Savannah.
The bus pulled up in the car-park and everyone on the bus started to stand up and grab anything they had with them on the bus. Charlie stood up out of her seat at the same time as Ben, the pair looking at each-other briefly before grabbing their bag and stepping out into the isle.
Stepping off the bus, Charlie breathed in the fresh air being glad to not be on that bus anymore. She went to stand with the rest of the group when she noticed they were all staring at Ashlyn. Charlie looks over at the ginger girl to see her contorting her body to pop and crack what looked like every joint in her body. Charlie's face contorted in a disgusted way at the sounds Ashlyn's body was making.
"Alright everyone," Charlie's heads snapped towards their teachers still stood by the bus. "Don't go too far out, make sure to be back here at 5, and if anything happens call us immediately!" The last sentence of his mini speech was rushed as students started leaving, getting bored of waiting and wanting to explore.
Charlie watched as everyone filed away from the bus and turned to her group, one of the last still there. "Right, are we off then?" She spoke up gaining everyone's attention.
"Yeah, let's get going" Tyler said, swinging his bag over his shoulder. Taylor shook her brothers arm and spoke with a giddy smile on her face, "Yes! We have to go now or we won't have enough time to do everything we have to!"
"Have to?" Charlie questioned, "I though we could make this a leisure trip, not an educational one." Confusion was etched on the girls face, rethinking if she should have come on this trip.
"Well, yeah. But that doesn't mean that there isn't things we have to do, see, eat, while we're here." The smile on the female twins face never faltered as she spoke, "Like, come on, when are we gonna get to come to Savanah again? I wanna see the sights!"
"The sigh-" Charlie was about to question Taylor again but the girls twin brother cut her off. "Can we please just go?" A fed-up attitude laced his tone.
"I agree! Hey Ash, you comin'?" Aiden piped up, turning his body to face behind us all at Ashlyn who just answered with a mumble Charlie couldn't hear as she walked to catch up to the rest of the group.
Could this be a weirder group? Charlie thought as they started walking through the streets.
"What should we do first?" Logan was the first out of the group to speak since they had left the bus and started walking without any sort of destination in mind.
"Well, we haven't eaten since we stopped for lunch a few hours ago." Taylor spoke next to him, still smiling, "We can get some food and talk about what to do while we eat?"
The question was definitely more of an instruction then a suggestion. A few people answered regardless of this.
"Well, where are we going then?" Charlie questioned, wanting to be certain on if they were actually going somewhere or if they were just going to keep walking around aimlessly.
"You ask a lot of questions, you know that?" Tyler shot a look at Charlie making her frown her eyebrows at him.
"Says the one that just asked a question." She shot back, looking away from him and towards her phone to look for a place to eat.
"Whatever." The retaliation came out as a murmur from the male twin, giving Charlie a small sense of accomplishment.
Over the next few hours, the group had managed to do a lot around Savanah. They had eaten at a restaurant, where Aiden had spent the whole time annoying Ashlyn, went on a horse and carriage ride, where Logan wouldn't stop asking the driver about everything there was to ask about Savanah, found and looked at a few old walls of information, where Aiden managed to climb and get stuck in a tree which Ben had to help him get down from, went to a light shop, for some reason, where Aiden stuck his head in a light temporarily blinding him from how bright it was, meaning Ben and Charlie had to hold one of his arms each so he didn't walk into anything.
Now, Taylor had found a face painting stand and insisted that they had to get each of their faces painted. Charlie looked at her face in the fountain, smiling at the little flowers scattered over her face. The girl let her eyes scan the group, across from her Aiden was stealing coins from the same fountain, which Charlie shook her head at, Ashlyn was staring at her phone, unsurprising, Taylor was trying to take a photo of her brother while he was trying to hide his face from her, while Logan was next to them looking absolutely terrified for his camera in the Hernandez girls hands.
Charlie's face dropped slightly when she couldn't find Ben. She looked around again before doing a double take on the fountain. Ben sat on the floor next to the fountain, back against the fountain wall. A small smile appeared on the girls face when she saw how his eyes were closed, the boy clearly not being used to this much walking around and human interaction, given how introverted and quiet he was. She let her smile drop, however, while she saw him stir, turning her body to make it look like she wasn't just staring at him if he opened his eyes.
Unfortunately, while she was focused on not letting Ben realised she was staring at him, someone else had noticed not only her extremely long look, but also the small smile that had appeared on her face the moment she had seen him.
After Ben had woken up and Aiden had gotten his arms out of the fountain, the group had set off again.
"We have 40 minutes left." Logan spoke up while they walked down the street.
"Guess we should probably head back in 30 minutes then." Taylor suggested after looking at her phone maps to see how far they were from the meeting place.
Just as Charlie was about to agree with the girl, she turned to a voice yelling to them from behind followed by rapid footsteps. "Excuse me!"
The voice belonged to a woman Charlie didn't recognise. She looked at all the members of the group to see if any of them recognised her. By the look on their faces, they didn't.
"Would you be interested in a tour of the Sorrel Weed House?" The woman asked, her breathing slightly shallow like she had been running for a while.
Charlie narrowed her eyes at the offer, unsure of the woman's intentions towards their group. Her eyes subconsciously flickered over a Ben to see he had the same look on his face, caution.
The woman must have seen the hesitation on their faces, causing her to speak again, "A group cancelled their tour last minute and now we have some empty slots if you guys and interested?" Her voice was rushed, like she was trying to find anyway to get them to agree. "It's only 5 dollars a person!"
Despite the hesitation on most of the groups faces, Taylor spoke up, "Wait really?!"
Charlies eyes darted towards the girl at her excited tone, is she serious?
"This place is supposed to be really haunted!" The girl continued, her voice only getting more high pitched, "We gotta go!"
Charlie was about to disagree when Tyler and Aiden spoke before her, "Sure, I don't care.", "I'm in!" This made Charlie roll her eyes at the pair.
A creepy smile over took the woman's face causing Charlie to narrow her eyes, "Then right this way."
I don't like the feeling of this, Charlie thought as the group followed the woman.
