"Hi y/n!...hi Sahed? You don't have to stay, I just need y/n" Kamille greeted the two of you, much less enthusiasm for Sahed. He rolled his eyes, waved to you, then left. You looked around the workshop as Kamille waited for him to leave.

The shop was the opposite of minimalist, there was stuff everywhere but not in a dirty way. All of the tools and supplies and fabrics gave the room a sort of charm to it. She had fabrics and half finished costumes covering all of the tables at the moment and they looked beautiful as well. The lanterns lighting the space gave everything a soft yellow glow and you figured you could get used to working there.

Kamille gave you the rundown on how everything worked and what you'd be doing. She was going to be in charge of the costumes still and decided that you should start out with puppets, just like she did when she first got there.

"You can start by painting these; sorry about the mess, you'll probably have to take them to your room for now. I'll have this cleaned up by tomorrow" she laughed, passing you the bin of carved wooden puppets. You were supposed to paint them to look like different members of the circus so that they could be sold at shows. You were mildly disappointed that you wouldn't be working in the shop today but brushed it off and took the puppets and paint back to your room.

After a while you'd finished a few puppets and they didn't look too bad, your hands and desk were covered in paint a well but you thought it added character to the desk.

You didn't realize how much time had passed until your stomach growled and you looked at the clock, you'd missed lunch! You were really hungry so you had to venture out to find food.

Unfortunately for you, you still didn't remember where the dining room was but you had a rough idea. You wandered around the circus for a while and after what felt like forever, found where the food was. You made a mental note to spend more time exploring the circus so you would be more familiar. It was really cool there, everything was ornate and decorated in a fun way.

The only other people in the kitchen were Plip and Plop the mimes, so you ate in silence. They just waved at you but said nothing. You finished your food, then made your way back to your room.

Well actually first you went to what you thought was your room, but turned out to be a storage closet, then to your room.

When you got back you quickly made a little sign out of paper that read: y/n's room! With some stars on it, then put it up on your door so that you'd know which room was yours. You left your door open a bit this time, hoping that you'd hear if anything was going on, maybe then you wouldn't miss dinner too. After that, you got back to painting puppets.

More time passed before Sahed came back to check on you, it was dark out now. He said it was since he hadn't seen you in a while and you weren't in the workshop and you also hadn't shown up to lunch.

"Cute sign" he stood in the doorway again with his hands in his pockets, analyzing your new sign.

"Thanks, I made it myself" you chuckled, unsure if he actually liked it or was messing with you.

"Really??" He said sarcastically, obviously knowing that you were the one that made it.

He walked over and sat down on the corner of your desk, looking at all of your work. You had finished 9 of the 12 puppets already.

"You should paint me" he commented, looking at the paint on everything and the collection of mini circus members.

"Sure" you said casually, taking your brush and painting a stripe of blue paint on his hand.

"There. I painted you" you were now holding back a chuckle.

"Ha ha very clever." He inspected his hand, then looked back at you.

"Dinner is in like five minutes, if you're interested" he made no effort to wipe the paint off.

"Oh ok... are you going?" You weren't too hungry because you ate a late lunch, but you wouldn't mind hanging out with him for a while.

"...yes I am. You wanna sit with me?" He smiled at you. He had been hoping you would because Rainah said she didn't want to eat in the cafeteria, something about not wanting to deal with everyone today.

Of course you agreed then you both went to the cafeteria and had dinner with everyone. Dinner at the circus was absolutely chaotic but really fun at the same time, everyone had way too much energy even though it was night just because they all had awful sleep schedules. People were talking, eating, laughing, doing acrobatics, and even playing instruments in the dining room. Someone also told you about the parties that they had after the shows which was hard to imagine because if they had this much energy at dinner, what would they be like at a party??

Sahed informed you that the parties were lame and he skipped them, which made you feel a little better about not wanting to go tonight. You still had a few more puppets to finish anyways.
