After the townspeople had all left the big top for the night the troupe went out for their nightly bonfire party. Kamille begged you to go over and over and you finally gave in. Sahed was the one who said they weren't worth it and you weren't usually a party person, but he was nowhere to be seen and you felt open to trying new things tonight after your last minute circus debut.

People really were crazy at these parties, drunkenly singing and playing instruments, some just kissing one another, others dancing way too close to the fire. It was a good thing everyone was already dead, because if they weren't then they would've died at one of these things. At first you tried to socialize with the crew but after a while everyone was drunk and you snuck over to an empty log that was further away from the fire where everyone was sitting around. The log was similar to the ones that everyone else was sitting on, just slightly behind the others, with some leftover circus fliers sitting on it. You smiled slightly as you watched the chaos from further back, finding it amusing how everyone acted. These people were your friends and family and coworkers now and they were some of the most fun and interesting people you had ever met in your life.

"Guess who" you heard Sahed's voice and felt his hands on your shoulders. You recognized him instantly but decided to play along anyways.

"Hmm who could it possibly be? Sahed maybe?" You acted unsure, but you knew he was the only one who did that and of course you knew the sound of his voice. He was the only person who was that touchy all the time, always quick to grab your arm or hold your hand or something and you wondered if he was that way with everyone.

"Ding-ding correct!" He climbed over the back of the log and sat down next to you.

"Just admiring whatever that is from afar?" He laughed, watching some of the crew try to jump over the oversized bonfire whilst the others cheered them on.

"Yeah, I sat with them until everyone got drunk, then they were a bit too much" you chuckled as Bob handed out more drinks to everyone.

"I'm guessing Kamille convinced you to do this?" He asked, curious why you had finally decided to come see it for yourself.

"You got me there. She asked and I had been curious already, plus I was feeling adventurous after tonight... What brings you here anyway? I thought these were 'lame' or something" you looked over at him as he kept watching the circus members chatter away and dance around.

"I guess I was feeling adventurous too, and there was someone I was hoping to see as well..." he met your gaze.

"Oh really? And who might be special enough to convince you to attend such an event?" You asked, already being able to guess his answer.

"A coworker of mine, I guess you could say. They did their first show today... usually more of a behind-the-scenes person around here" he was describing you at the moment and you knew that and pretended not to know still.

"Hmm they sound pretty great. Have I met them?" You asked, doing your best to stifle a smile but you ended up smirking anyway.

"Yeah they are, and you definitely know them. They're pretty short... really good at playing oblivious... they have a nice smile but try waaaay too hard to hide it" he made it as obvious as possible and you ended up laughing.

"What a person huh" you laughed, still trying to keep up the bit.

"Yeah, what a person" he gazed up at the sky for a moment before looking back over.

"Can I try something?" He asked, scooting a little bit closer.

"S-sure" you stuttered, caught off guard by his switch in tone. He leaned forward toward you and you felt your heartbeat quicken, he then reached out, and past you to the pile of leftover fliers from the circus advertisements. He snatched one and went back to how he had been sitting before, carefully folding it while you watched in confusion. After a minute or two he handed you a little paper crane.
