Next Morning: Confusion, Planning, and a Meeting Ahead

The sun rose over the city, casting a soft glow that crept into both Saanvi’s and Ishaan’s rooms. Neither of them had slept well, thoughts of strategy and defiance spinning relentlessly in their minds. Yet, as the daylight grew stronger, so did their resolve.

Saanvi woke early, her jaw set and her eyes already steely with determination. She had no intention of playing the obedient daughter, but she knew she couldn’t afford to be reckless. The meeting with Ishaan was inevitable, and it was time to show him that she wasn’t just another pawn in the game.

Across town, Ishaan rolled out of bed with a predatory calm. This was a war he’d won on his terms, and Saanvi Mehra was about to find out exactly who she was dealing with. He was ready to face her, ready to push all the right buttons and see how far she would go to protect her freedom. He was counting on her stubbornness, and he planned to exploit every crack in her defenses.

Saanvi settled into her office chair, glancing at her watch with a cool expression. Picking up her phone, she dialed her assistant, who answered on the second ring.

“Good morning, Ms. Mehra,” her assistant greeted.

“Morning, Riya,” Saanvi replied, her tone brisk and authoritative. “I need you to clear my entire schedule for today. Cancel all meetings, push back deadlines if necessary, and reschedule any calls. If anyone asks, tell them it's an urgent business.”

Her assistant hesitated, taken aback by the unusual request. “Of course, Ms. Mehra. Are you sure you want to clear everything? You had a few important appointments—”

“I’m aware,” Saanvi cut in smoothly. “I don’t want any distractions today. Prioritize the quarterly review for tomorrow instead, and prepare the reports I requested. I’ll handle anything else myself when I return.”

“Understood,” Riya replied, her tone respectful. “I’ll make the adjustments right away.”

“Good,” Saanvi said, hanging up without another word. She leaned back in her chair, her gaze falling on her reflection in the sleek glass window. Today, she would show Ishaan Mehta that she was no one’s victim.

Getting Ready: Preparing for Battle
( Meeting between Saanvi and Ishaan)

In her penthouse apartment, Saanvi stood before her mirror, carefully selecting her outfit—something powerful, professional, and just a hint intimidating. She chose a tailored navy-blue pantsuit, its sharp lines emphasizing her no-nonsense demeanor. A delicate diamond pendant hung at her throat, and she added a touch of crimson to her lips, the only hint of softness in her otherwise composed appearance. She tied her hair into a sleek ponytail, her eyes cold and calculating as she inspected the final look. This was the armor she’d wear into battle.

At the same time, Ishaan was meticulously putting together his own armor—a charcoal-grey suit, crisp white shirt, and a dark tie that matched the stormy mood brewing behind his eyes. He moved with slow, deliberate precision, adjusting his cufflinks and smoothing back his dark hair. He knew exactly what he was walking into, and he was ready to play the part of the charming, cunning businessman. A faint smile tugged at his lips as he looked at his reflection, confidence radiating off him. This was going to be a game to
remember.
