Part One: The prophecy

It was another cold windy day in Relindas apartment. She sipped her near boiling hot coffee while watching the news under the warmest blanket she could find. "In today's news, well-known mass serial killer Demrid Jorins has recently escaped from prison and gone missing." The news reporter stated. Relindas eyes widened as she turned the TV up and leaned in. "We remind you all to please report any signs of his presence to the police immediately, this man is one of the most dangerous people in the entire city." This can't be serious, Relinda thought. Demrid Jorins, the man who killed her husband. The man she alone caught and sent to prison. She prayed he never found her, because if he did, there would be no way out. "I FOUND YOU, DERRIS!" Demrid shouted, revealing he was behind the couch this whole time. Relinda screamed in horror as he brutally ripped her to pieces with her very own favorite kitchen knife. Demrid chuckled, staring down at her mutilated corpse. Suddenly the lights flickered, and an old man with a long green beard appeared from the shadows, approaching Demrid. "Wassup, yo" the old man greeted. "The names Jacaris, but you can just call me Green Beard." Demrid looked confused, he was covered in blood, weilding a knife and standing over the corpse of Relinda, yet the old man didn't seem afraid. With a snap of his fingers, Relinda was fixed, and waking up. "WHAT THE F-" "SILENCE!" Green beard shouted, cutting Relinda off. "YOU SHOULD BE SCARED OF ME! WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?" Demrid stated, pointing the knife at him. Green beard cleared his throat and straightened his already straight beard before beginning to tell his story... "Long before I had a name, my father was nothing but a little boy, yo. Soon after he was a teenager, then an adult. He married my mother, and then they got a little freaky...and soon I was birthed, dawg." Green beard says, Demrid looks confused. Relinda suddenly stabs Demrid and he dies. Green beard snaps his fingers again and Demrid comes back to life, fully healed. "Can yall shut yo whiney butts up so I can finish my god dang story?" ... "that's what I thought." Green beard cleared his throat again. "After I was birthed, my mother and father were diagnosed with severe depression. And soon after they willingly became the test subjects for a science experiment, where their bodies were merged into one. Body and soul combined, they turned into a monster, beating random people up on the streets, destroying homes, before they were finally banished into the dark pits of some random abandoned mineshaft a few miles away. And they were never seen again...UNTIL NOW!!! See what the scientists didn't know is that the mineshaft was abandoned because over 1983 years ago the minors found a CURSED RELIC!!! Along the relic was an old scroll that told them everything they needed to know...supposedly taking the relic from its monument would grant them godlike powers to grow of any size imaginable!!! So they decided to leave it there and hide it in the mine. HOWEVER my parents have been in there for over SIX DECADES AND THEY'VE PROBABLY FOUND IT BY NOW!!!" Green beard is biting his toe nails nervously and running around the room. Demrid and Relinda were dumbfounded "and why do we have to know this" Relinda asked, "Because...you are the chosen ones...from the prophecy..." Green beard replied. "...WHAT" Demrid shouted "don't worry gang I won't read off the prophecy cuz it's really boring not gonna lie...but it's true...it told me that you two, and two other people are the chosen ones...and that you'll all save the world from the evil curse of rogonma." Green beard stated. ... "also yall can't die anymore" ... Relinda started crying, soon after Demrid did too. They didn't wanna have to save the world together, they were ENEMIES. I forgot to mention it earlier but Relinda used to be a detective, she's the one who solved Demrids case and got him sent to prison. They HATED eachother, pure enemies. And now they had to save the world together? "Yes they do, narrator." Green beard replied. Man, that's just insane. But what about the other 2 heroes in the prophecy? "Well you see, we must find them!" Green beard stated, "find who..?" Relinda asked between sobs. "The other heroes, did you not just hear the narrator ask?" Green beard looked confused, wondering if he was crazy despite knowing he probably is. "uhm...no..? narrator..? who?" Relinda asked, "Hm. I must be aware of things more than others, how rad I guess." Green beard said, scratching his long beard. "Well my friends, it is time to venture off and find the other heroes! Come now, we must be quick before the world ENDS IN TERRIBLE AGONY!!!" Green beard shouted. Relinda and Demrid rose and took his hands as they left the apartment, not knowing what's to come in the near future...
