Viktoria started making her way to Walter's chambers, wanting to spend a little alone time with him, before the wedding took place. Deep down she knew she didn't have a lot of time left, before Walter went along with his plan to marry the girl who descends from the original female that was promised to him.
Viktoria was stopped dead in her tracks by Mr. Renfield standing in front of her, preventing her from going any further down the hall to Walter's personal chambers.
"Mr. Renfield, if you don't want me ripping out your throat, then I suggest you remove yourself from my path," Viktoria said in a threatening tone.
Mr. Renfield was unbothered by Viktoria's threat and the tone that she used, having grown used to it over the years. "Ms. Viktoria, you and I both know you wouldn't go and do such a thing. By killing me, you go against the master's orders that he made clear the moment that I started working for him. Should you try and kill me, you will only anger the master. Dare I go as far as to say that, the master will go as far as to kill you."
Viktoria knew that Mr. Renfield was speaking the truth. "Why can't I go to the master's personal chambers? Is he busy with something important?"
"The master is spending time with the young woman. He doesn't wish to be bothered by anyone. So, whatever you wish to speak to the master about, it will have to wait until the master is ready to speak to you. Though to be honest, I don't think the maser will have any time to deal with you before or after his wedding. So, you might want to go and start packing your bags, because you won't be here much longer," Mr. Renfield said before sending Viktoria on her way.
Viktoria turned walking away while feeling rage boil over deep within herself. I may be a bit late in getting rid of this little thorn in my side. If the master had sex with her, chances are he will want to remain by her side, until after the wedding and he releases Lucy and I like we are nothing to him. I can't allow that to happen. This is the only life that I know. I can't be sent away to try and relearn everything all over again. I don't want to have to adjust to a new life. But I have to be clever and find a way to get the young woman all alone, without the master around to keep her safe from being killed. I just need to come up with a way to get the young woman all alone, without the master around to keep her safe from being killed by me. I just need to come up with a way to distract the monster and keep him from returning to the little bitch's side. I just need him away long enough so I have the opportunity to kill her, Viktoria thought to herself as she made her way back to her room.
The next morning Evie woke up, walking over to the chair picking up a robe, that she was gonna use for spa day. Evie couldn't help but wonder ifs he would get a chance to see her friend, Nicolette down in the room, where the spa day was supposed to be taking place. Evie smiled at the thought of Nicolette going to spa day and allowing a stranger touch her. It was something that Nicolette never liked; though Evie couldn't help but wonder what made Nicolette freaked out by being touched by someone whose job it is to touch and rub you down, that way all the stress can be released from the body. Every other girl would kill to be at the manor receiving an all paid for spa day, getting pampered like a queen. But not Nicolette. Evie never did think to ask Nicolette about that. Then again, Evie didn't want to pry into Nicolette's past. If she wanted me to know about it, she would have told me about it by now, Evie thought to herself as she made her way to where the ladies were getting their nails done, as well as getting massages before dinner that evening.
As Evie walked in, she gained both Lucy and Viktoria's attention.
"Evie! Oh my goodness, I'm glad you can make it," Lucy said. "Come sit next to me and get your nails done."
Evie walked over sitting down next to Lucy and allowed the woman to start doing her job.
"Yes, we were beginning to wonder if you would be a no show like your friend, Nicolette," Viktoria said.
Evie let out a bit of a nervous laugh at the way Viktoria said Nicolette's name, like it was poison on her tongue. "Nico isn't one for spa days."
"Oh? Do tell us the reason why," Viktoria asked.
"I don't exactly know the reason why behind it. All I know is she doesn't like doing spa days," Evie explained.
"Didn't you think to ask her to elaborate on her reason as to why she doesn't like spa days? It is the one time that you get treated like a queen; not only getting your nails done, but you get an amazing massages and wonderful facials, that leave you feeling fresh and renewed. I for one am not one to go and turn down a spa day; especially if all expenses are paid for and all I have to do is show up and take advantage of the services. I guess your friend Nicolette doesn't like the finer things in life," Viktoria said while getting up, dropping her robe and making her way into the swimming pool.
This rubbed Evie the wrong way as she turned away from Viktoria, focusing on getting her nails done. Evie didn't like the way that Viktoria was talking down about Nicolette. Evie knew that Nicolette works hard for everything that they have. "Sorry, that not all of us have money to go and throw around to get pampered at the drop of a dime. But those of us who can't do that, we work hard and bust our asses, that way we can make enough to pay our bills, keep a roof over our head, clothes on our backs and food in our belly. But you wouldn't know the struggles of all that, would you? And it's all because you come from a family that has money. Tell me this Viktoria, should your family money run dry, and you have to live life busting your ass at work, trying to make more than enough to eat, pay bills, put clothes on your back and keep a roof over your head, would you be able to do all of that?"
"I don't know what point you're trying to make by asking that question. So, why ask it if it's only pointless and a waste of time," Viktoria asked.
Evie shook her head at Viktoria, getting her answer. "You just answered my question. You are so used to having money to throw around, that you wouldn't know what to do with yourself, should you run out of money. You would be so damn clueless as to how to survive a normal life without the wealth you have no. If I were you, I would hope that nothing bad happens that would make the funds run dry. If that happens, you would be so lost. Hell, you most likely wouldn't survive without it. You would be so desperate that you would turn to get rich quick schemes just to make back the money you have now, to help you live a lavish lifestyle that you live right now."
"Ladies, let's not fight. Keep in mind that we are in the manor of Lord DeVille. I don't think he would appreciate it if we broke something of his. Besides that, we are here for a lovely wedding. I would hate to miss it, because the two of you are being selfish and fighting with one another over silly things," Lucy snapped.
"Lucy has a point. It really wouldn't be worth me getting kicked out of this wedding celebration, all because you want to be rude," Evie snapped at Viktoria.
