2nd November 2024 : Everglen : 10:00 a.m.

Della was sure her husband would dirty the carpet with all his pacing. "Honey, Biana and Fitz are going  to be okay, for the ten billionth time." Alden turned to look at her. "They've just been kidnapped from a high-security dungeon, Della. High security. How are they 'okay', my love?" She stomped out of the hall. Alden was sure being picky these days. Talking back, retorting with anger. His calm seems to have evaporated with their children.

"Why don't we go to Havenfield today and check on Grady and Edaline? See how they're  doing with all this going on." Della suggested.

"Yes. They must be feeling very blue. They've lost yet another  child." He grabbed his Imparter and walked out the door as elegantly as ever. Della sighed, I feel I'm losing you.

Same day : Havenfield : 10:40 a.m.

"Grady, Edaline! Are you home!?" Della yelled at their front door, again. "Della, darling, I don't think that is doing any good." Alden calmly knocked one last time at the mansion's door, towering above them. No answer for a long while. Then, Alden held up his Home Crystal and leaped them back to Everglen. He sighed. "Della, this is no use, my love. You know I'll break, again. And this time, Sophie's not there to help me."

Same day : Lumenaria castle : The strange forest : 12:00 p.m.

"Come on, guys! We can't just keep living here." Maruca exclaimed, swallowing the last of her berry. Keefe and Fitz had found a small blueberry bush somewhere beyond the cave. Everyone immediately gobbled up the only food found in days. Marella, Stina and Biana had all gone to find water. "I know Maruca! We're all tired. Everyone thinks we died. The Neverseen are still  after us. It's a complicated life." Fitz snapped back.

Just then, they heard a rustling behind the trees. "Took you guys long enough." Keefe called. "You can't sneak up on the great Keefester. You can't sneak up on anyone  like that." No answer.

"Biana?" Sophie whispered. "Boo!!!" Alvar poked his head out of the bush. He chuckled. "Did I scare you guys?" The expression on Fitz's face was murderous. He grabbed a nearby stick and started choking Alvar with it. "Why are you here, you traitor? Have you come for us? Well, your not gonna get us!" He choked him tighter. Alvar was almost going to run out of air, when an invisible figure tackled Fitz to the ground.

"Biana." Fitz grunted from underneath her, "Let me go!"

"Not unless you promise not to hurt Alvar."

"Fine! You have my word." Then she gracefully lifted herself off of the fuming red Fitz. The rest were just watching carefully.

Dex was the first on to snap out of it. "So... What are you doing here?" He directed the question at Alvar mostly. "Trust me, brother. I'm on your  side. I came here to ensure your well-being. I hope none of you are hurt. Is there anything  I can do?"

"Stop talking in those fancy words. We won't listen to you just 'cause your smart." Stina butted in. She just has to butt in, doesn't she?

"Some food, water and fresh clothes for starters." Sophie told him. There she was. Taking charge. And I'm just sitting here, staring into oblivion. Keefe thought.

"I'll get them right now. Oh and Sophie? Thank you for giving me a second chance."
