Guys, this is Elysian's mini story, as I promised in the last chapter. Happy Reading!
14th April 1940 : Atlantis : 4:00 a.m.
The humans crowded upon the other side of the street, hurtling the weapons they held at the elves. This was war. Finrod knew they were here for Elysian. Everyone came for Elysian. That was it!!! No way they were going to kill more elves. He had to meet her first.
He backed down, whispered to a fellow elf, then took off down the narrow lane. Once he got to the border, he whispered the password, "Love."
The dome protecting his only love opened up to reveal the dazzling figure of Elysian. She was striding in the sunlight, her milky-white brown shining and reflecting the sun. Her blue eyes looked towards the sun, waiting, feeling, knowing... Her pale yellow gown floated in the wind. She was wearing a headband laced with flowers. The way she walked looked like she was floating on clouds. Her eyes... Finrod couldn't begin to describe her eyes. At one glance, Finrod knew he had chosen the right person.
"Hey Elly!" he called.
Elysian turned to look at him. She ran towards him, embracing him in a hug so warm, so lovely, that he couldn't let go. But, he had to.
"Elly, I have to go. I just wanted to check on you."
Elysian's smile faded. Her emotions plummeted until they smashed to the ground. Finrod would know. He was an Empath.
"I'm really sorry, my love. Just stay here and stay in the dome. Please? The war is starting, hon. I need to leave. Promise me?"
She didn't move. She didn't promise. She just stared. She stared at her boyfriend looking back as the war started, asking her to promise. Her sadness was overwhelming. She looked around watching Finrod scream for her to promise. All of her, her anger, sadness, grief, everything came out. She couldn't- wouldn't let him go.
He went anyway. He never came back...
After hearing this unsettling news, Elysian went into the dorm and promised herself she wouldn't come out until someone released her. She went into a robotic state. Being alone for such a long time had changed her, mentally and physically.
She became more grey instead of fair, intricate designs running through her ever-changing skin. Her long hair became pearl white and her eyes shown a dazzling purple. The mood swings and hate on everybody in the world, wasn't helping. She began feeling... weaker.
Her body, soon, couldn't function without proper food. She decided to go to the doctor, Eyla Heslege. Eyla told her to use the exact substance Sophie is allergic to: limbium.
When she drank it, every week, it began excreting out of her. That was her special goo! Meaning her and Sophie were connected... somehow...
