Part 16: CURIOSITY.

••SOME DAY••

"Hey Jordan"
Jordan spins around and Angela waves walking up to him with a smile on her face.

*God I was not looking forward to a chit chat you know.*

Jordan: Ow Angela hey, I didn't see you there.
Angela: Wow I didn't realize that you also live this side with Lowell, I've just bumped into him not so long ago and now here you are too.
Jordan: Lowell Adams?
Angela (Nods): Yeah him the one and only...and as his new close friend I thought that you knew where he lives and that's why you two get along so well.
Jordan (Shrugs): We are not as close as you think we are Angie, don't believe everything that you see.
Angela: Oh well you could fool me.
She chuckles walking beside him as he heads home.
Jordan: So what brings you here, to this neighborhood?
Angela: I came to check on my friend Anastasia, she hasn't been herself lately.
Jordan: Oh I see...
It goes quiet again and Angela nudges him.

Angela: So tell me Jordan how did you manage to get Lowell to open his mouth and talk to you huh?... I mean how did you really do that because ever since I started at that school last year he has been nothing but a mute and an intimidating robot on us.
But when you came along to our school, I just saw the different side of Lowell, the side that I never thought I would see. Well I probably heard him talk after every once in a while before but now I constantly hear him talk with you even if it's not that loud but he talks and laughs. So how did you do that?
Jordan: He just talked Angela like any other person would, there is nothing special that I did okay.
Angela: No man I don't think that's it, why you when you are new at that school?
Angela: Or do you perhaps know each other from the past?... Somewhere in the illegal field that his brother Jerome entrusts him with?

It goes silent and Jordan stops on his tracks quickly turning to face her.

Jordan: Wait wait wait did you just say that Jerome Adams is-....
He sighs realizing Jerome's last name is Adams and so is Lowell's..
Fuck! It's not like him to be so slow minded about this kind of stuff but this time around he was completely in the dark.
His assumptions were right the entire time.

Angela: So you do know Jerome Adams but yet you don't know his little brother?... Mhm now that's interesting.
Jordan: What is it to you anyways Angela?, Why are you obsessing over Lowell like this, what do you want from him and what are you up to?
Angela shrugs continuing to walk and Jordan does too.
Angela: I took a liking into him and he's quite an interesting being that's all.
Jordan: I don't buy that.
Jordan: Tell me the truth Angela why are you so eager to know about him? Why does every chat with you have to be about him?... You are also involved in illegal activities just like he is and if I hadn't known better I would say that you are stalking him which makes sense why he can't stand you because you are nosey and giving him the creeps, why?
Angela: Just like I said I like him so much. But too bad that he doesn't even look my way so hence I am trying so hard to understand how you made him soften up and the kind of person that he is now.
You are his best friend Jordan so tell me something about him that I could use to gain his liking.
Jordan: Like I have just said and always have been saying to you that I barely know Lowell and I am curious just as much as you are about him but the guy just doesn't open up about himself at all.
Angela: You could just play around with personal questions just to get to know more about him of course, I don't believe that you are not so curious about his background at all. I mean don't you also want to know what could be under that glove of his and what's with the scary tattoo on his back that peeks through his neck and why he is so involved in illegal activities huh?... Not unless you already know all the answers Jordan.

*Silence*

Jordan: Okay yeah I am really curious about those things but unlike you I don't want to obsess over his personal life so I will find out about him when he is willing to tell me about himself.
Angela: No I don't think so...I doubt that you will wait for that, not when you have just found out that he is Jerome's little brother. How do you know Jerome anyways?
Jordan: How do you know Jerome?
Angela shrugs.
Angela: His reputation of course.
Jordan: And so do I..
Angela: But to think that you were new here..

Jordan just looks at her starting to get bored by this topic now.

Jordan: I have to go, you are overstepping your curiosity right now and just like Lowell I might start getting annoyed by you.
Angela: Okay I'm sorry I just can't help it. I am really in love with Lowell and I would do anything to get to know him even if it means interrogating his friend.
Jordan walks away but she follows behind him.
Angela: I really hoped that you could help me man, I really did.
Jordan: The only way that I could help you is to advise you to go to him yourself, tell him about how you truly feel about him and then leave me out of it okay?
She huffs at that
Angela: But he can't stand me.
Jordan: And how is it any of my problem?

It goes silent and Jordan raises his brow folding his arms.

Jordan: Now will that be all?, I have things to do back home.
Angela: Okay then let me not keep you, thanks for the advice though.
Jordan walks away from her heading home and Angela just stands there watching him leave.

Angela: Jordan Hans... Oh well it seems like you will be implicated in my plans too. After all why hit one bird when I can hit two at once?

She smirks finally walking to the other side as well thinking about how he can connect Jordan to Lowell and Jerome. What is their mutual link?

Jordan paces around his room with his phone on his hands and battling with himself to call Lowell and ask him about Jerome.
But how will he come about it?, How will he explain his business with Jerome to Lowell if Lowell doesn't know anything?
I mean he is the new guy in this city and he has just met Lowell to already know his brother.... But Jordan will be working with Jerome soon and Lowell will find out about it sooner or later.
And for all that he knows he could be working with Lowell for Jerome. But is that a good thing though?
Ugh no of course not it's not good, not when he is slowly trying to drift out of that life.

It's either he keeps Lowell as a friend and continue being delivery boys together or cut him off and enjoy his sane path separately just only if Lowell is really a delivery boy.
Of which that is really hard to address at the moment.

*No let me not rush things yet, I will have to play it cool and find another way to dig the truth out of Lowell, I have to find a way to make him talk about his life as hard as it will be but I have to try and be patient of course. Lowell is a great guy and I would hate to ruin our friendship over this.
But his brother is what bothers me, perhaps I should focus on digging on Jerome instead of Lowell. After all he is the mastermind of this business and this is his territory..
Yes Jerome Adams and Mackenzie Ziegler are my men not Lowell.... At least just not yet.*
