THE BOY IS MINE

Part 36: FORGIVENESS.

The school organizes a field trip for all the senior students to get their minds off the latest incident that took place at school.
Everyone is excited about it and that is all that they could talk about the entire week.

Jordan and Lowell are silently seated at their desk minding their own business. One could only wonder why they are still seated together just when they supposedly hate each other so much.
But surprisingly they are a lot calmer now than most days and also they are really dying to talk to each other but where will they even begin? what are they going to say?
So they should rather remain silent and not face each other at all that way they can avoid an unnecessary fight from breaking out between them.

Justin pulls a chair and gets seated across them.

Justin: It's good to see you two still seated together, peaceful and not fighting each other. I suppose today is a beautiful day huh.
Lowell: Just say what you want to say and then leave Justin.
Justin: I won't leave, in fact let me call Scott to join us. HEY CROWFORD! Come here bro.
Scott nods and then walks to join them.
Scotts: What's up?
Justin: Just take a look at how peaceful they are today, isn't this beautiful?
Lowell rolls his eyes and Scott chuckles pulling his own chair to get seated next to Justin.
Scott: They seem mute though.
Justin nudges Scott.
Justin: That's because they have nothing to talk about and that's where we come in.... Lowell and Jordan come on mates, aren't you tired of squabbling like this huh?... This is getting old now.
Lowell: Tell him that, not me, after all he is the one that can't forgive me isn't it?
Jordan huffs.
Jordan: You wanted me dead Lowell.
Lowell: And I was sorry about it, in fact I still am.

It goes silent and Jordan sighs turning to face Lowell.. they lock eyes in a genuine and warm manner, just like how they used to do before hurting each other. There is no hatred left in them and Lowell faintly smiles at Jordan. When last did they even face each other like this.

Jordan: How will I know that you won't do this again?... How can I trust you?
Lowell: You don't have to trust me just yet, at least give me a chance to make up for my mistakes and prove to you that there is nothing that I want in this world other than to be your best friend redhead just please forgive me.
Jordan fights himself not to smile from hearing Lowell calling him that again but he fails dismally as he side smiles looking down, because yes of course he also missed his best friend.
Scott: Is that a smile that I see?
Jordan: Fuck you and shut up slum face!

They laugh at him and Jordan looks back up at Lowell.
Jordan: I forgive you Lowell... And I'm also sorry for being an ass towards you, I should have handled things much differently but pride just got the better of me.
Lowell nods nudging him.
Lowell: Don't sweat it, you and I are cool now and that's all that matters.
Scott: And you should hug it out.
Lowell: Seriously now?
Justin: Yes seriously... Come on now, get up and hug.
Scott: Come on!!
Lowell huffs and pulls Jordan for a hug.
Jordan: Not too tight though.
Scott: No it should be tight the tighter the hug the faster your heart melts completely to forgive each other come on don't make us join in.
They chuckle at that.
Jordan wraps himself around Lowell feeling his body warmth and he grunts giving in. Lowell snuggles himself tightly not willing to let go and he buries his face on Jordan's neck.

Lowell (Low tone): I missed you moron... I missed you so much.
Jordan closes his eyes sniffing on Lowell's shoulder inhaling his cologne.
Jordan: I missed you too freak head.

Justin and Scott exchange smirks and thumbs up side smiling and just then Lowell and Jordan let go of each other and they both smile.
Lowell: Now how about drinks later my treat.
Scott: No we have a field trip to prepare for remember?
Lowell: I was actually talking to my best friend not you moron head.
Justin: Oh is that how things are going to be now huh?
