Part 50: NEMESIS.

••AT SCHOOL ••

Jordan parks his Bike at the usual spot and Lowell smirks taking off his sunglasses as he looks up at him.

Lowell: You are late.
Jordan: I'm sorry I got a bit held up.
Lowell: Petey?
Jordan: Yeah..
Lowell nods not taking it any further as he takes his backpack from his car and then locks it before walking side to side to class.
Jordan: Feels like forever since I have last been here.
Lowell: And you have a lot of catching up on with schoolwork.
Jordan: You will help me with that right?
Lowell raises his brow at him.
Lowell: Ask me nicely.
Jordan: Hell no why should I?
Lowell: Then forget about it.
Jordan raises his brow as well and they stop walking to glare at each other mockingly with side smiles.
Jordan: I thought you were my friend..
Lowell: I am still your friend but I don't owe you any help moron. So ask me nicely.
Jordan chuckles shaking his head and then continues to walk, Lowell follows behind him.
Jordan: Okay then smarty-pants can you please help me with schoolwork?...I am pretty dumb.
Lowell laughs at that and Jordan glares at him.
Jordan: You are laughing at me... Arg just forget it you are toying with me.

"Hey guys wait up."

Lowell chuckles standing up straight and just then Scott and Justin join them to walk together.
Justin: This looks pretty fun, what could be so funny I am curious.
Lowell: Nah it's nothing serious, redhead just said something silly.
Scott: Oh well it is good to know that you two are getting along now... Once again!
Jordan: What do you mean by once again?
Scott: It's only a matter of time until you two start pissing each other off as usual and then leave us wondering what could have happened between you two for us to interfere and make you atone with each other. But we are over that shit now, so if you two fuck up each other's lives one more time, I swear on my dead father that we won't be there to try to fix your mess ever again, you will fix it yourselves... Fuck! I just don't understand why you two always do that. Always fighting each other and then go for days depressing each other including us over unnecessary things.

It goes silent, Jordan and Lowell look at each other.

Jordan: And now?, Why are you mad?
Scott: You make me fucking mad!... Where the fuck have you been?, What the hell happened Jordan that you had to disappear for this long? Why did you stress us like that?
Jordan: You were stressed?... For me?
Justin: Yes you fucking moron!... You could have just called us and told us that you are fine, you only needed some time on your own and we would have understood. You shouldn't just disappear like that!
Jordan: Arg I'm sorry guys, it was not my intention to worry you that much but don't worry it won't happen again and I have learnt my lesson... Okay?
Scott: You better!

Leonard creeps up from behind them that Scott startles up and Leo chuckles.
Leonard: I'm sorry for that but I couldn't help but to eavesdrop... Hey Jordan how are you?
Lowell huffs rolling his eyes and then turns to look the other way.
Jordan: Ow Leo it's you, hey how are you?
Leonard: I believe that I asked you first.
Jordan: Ow yes I'm sorry.
Jordan: Well I am fine, I can't complain about anything at the moment.
Leonard: Good because you shouldn't at all.
Lowell: Jordan we should go to class the bell will ring in no time.
Jordan quickly turns to look at him.. did he just call him by his first name?

Leonard: Anyways I just wanted to give you your headphones back. You left them at the park the other day.
Jordan: Oh my it totally slipped my mind, thank you Leo.
Leo nods taking out his headphones from his backpack and hands them over to Jordan.
Leonard: I have been keeping them in my backpack all this time, for at least just in case I saw you again...but I have to say though, for a moment there I thought that you had left the school.
Jordan: I had shit to deal with nothing much.
Leonard: Is that the same shit that made you space out at the park?
Jordan chuckles and then nods.
Jordan: Yeah that's the one, but don't worry I had it all sorted out and now I am focusing on being better.
Leonard: I am happy for you.
Lowell: Okay then that must be all can we already make our way to class?
Justin: Of course let's get moving.
Justin and Scott lead the way and Leonard walks with them.
Leonard: So Jordan how would you feel about drinks later?
Jordan: I-..
Lowell: Jordan has things to do later, he has so much work to attend to and make up for his absence.
Jordan: So you will help me?
Lowell: Yes of course I will, that's what friends are for right?
Leonard: Then how about the weekend?... I'm sure that you will have everything sorted out by Sunday.
Lowell: Ow I'm sorry but we have things to do on Sunday.
Jordan: Something like what?.. please remind me?
Lowell: Wait you forgot?
Jordan: My mind has been pretty occupied remember?
Jordan shrugs and Lowell huffs shaking his head.
Leonard: Well since it's gonna be a busy week for you, then how about we exchange numbers and then you will eventually call me or text me when you finally have a free day from-...

Leo looks at Lowell mockingly.

Leonard: From being overworked and overwhelmed by stuff.
Lowell: So I must be the stuff that overwhelm him huh?
Leonard: I never said that.
Lowell: But you were damn sure implying it.
Leonard chuckles and that annoys Lowell more.
Leonard: Look man I only approached you guys to talk to Jordan at the first place, you didn't have to meddle into our conversation and be his spokesperson. I am the one who wants to be more than an acquaintance to Jordan and be his friend.
Lowell raises his brow.
Lowell: Oh then I'm afraid that Jordan has enough friends already.
Leonard: Don't be his spokesperson, Jordan can tell me that that himself and besides you wanted to go to class so why are you still here?
Jordan quickly holds Lowell back as he can tell that Lowell will punch Leonard in no time.
Jordan: That's enough..

*Silence*

Jordan: Leo we can exchange numbers it's fine with me.
Lowell huffs and Leo smirks nodding as they exchange numbers.
Lowell: I don't like this guy.
Leonard: Oh too bad for you, I am not going anywhere. Thanks Jordy we will chat over the phone okay?
Jordan: Sure..
Leo gives Lowell a smirk before walking past him and bumps on his shoulder.
Lowell huffs forming a fist but Jordan holds him back.
Jordan: Don't, please.
Lowell: Did you see what he did? He was provoking me.
Jordan: And it's fine don't mind him.
Lowell looks up at Jordan and Jordan nudges him.
Jordan: What's with you two anyway, did something happen between you while I was away?
Lowell: No.. I just don't like him.
Jordan: Leo is a nice guy just get to know him.
Lowell: No thank you, my only yearn is to strangle him to death.
Jordan chuckles as they continue to walk to class.
Jordan: So what's with Sunday anyways?, You haven't told me the plans for Sunday.
Lowell: There are no plans for Sunday I just wanted that punk to back off. But we can make some plans though.
Jordan: I can't believe you right now.
Lowell chuckles nudging him and they walk inside the class.
Lowell: Do you blame me?... I only want you all for myself.
Jordan: And you will have me all for yourself I don't mind.

Their class teacher invites them over for a seniors dinner party that will take place during the weekend.
It is to keep them light head from the exams because they deserve it.
And she also allows everyone to bring their plus ones if they want to.

Justin: Oh well that's something that I look forward to.
Scott: Tell me about it.
They nudge each other knowing very well that they will sneak in alcohol for that dinner party.
Lowell nudges Jordan.
Lowell: Are you going?
Jordan: Only if you are interested as well.
Lowell: I am not interested but I will have to go because it is a school event.
Jordan: Then I am coming with you.
Lowell: Okay then, fine by me.
