Rimuru's POV:

"Ok, I'm going to call the roll." I said as I stood in front of the class.

I called their names one after the other but got no response.

"All right now, listen up. When your name is called, respond loudly and clearly."

Still no response from them.

I understand, well time to call upon my trusty assistant.

"Hey.... what's that a dog........is that a wolf? Get it out of here." Kenya complained tearfully at the sight of Ranga.

"There you go, children must do as they're told." I smiled evilly.

I called the roll this time and I got a hearty response. I guess Ranga's a big hit. Look at him playing around with those kids. It really warms the heart, doesn't it?

"I am Ranga. Nice to meet you, kid." Ranga greeted as he slobbered over Kenya.

"That's great, I see you're getting along. So I am Toru, and I'll be your teacher starting today. I'm not as nice as Shizu. Just keep that in mind." I introduced myself.

They were no longer in a state of outright rebellion, but they were hostile as ever.

'Looks like it won't be easy to gain their trust. Well, I can't blame them. They were summoned into the world and then tossed aside.'

I clapped to gain their attention "Okay! Are you all ready for a test?"

Alice was the first to complain "Hey! Why do we have to do that?"

Chloe muttered "I hate tests."

Gale raised his hand "It's too soon for a test! I demand an explanation."

"Yes! Explain this!"

"Now, just relax. This test is one that you kids need right now."

"Why? We're all gonna die pretty soon anyway. What's the point of taking tests and stuff."

"Yeah! Our last teacher just brought in a bunch of toys and books and said we could do whatever we wanted..."

"We haven't done any real classwork since we came here."

"I wanna read more books."

"And who do you think you are? Just because you've got a big dog doesn't mean you can lord it over us."

"Yes yes. It's good to have so much energy. Don't worry. I called it a test, but it's a fun game."

They looked confused after I said that.

"It'll give you children a chance to vent your frustrations. So what you'll do is take turns taking me on in mock combat. The rules are simple. Attack me with everything you've got. If you can beat me, it's over. But if I can dodge your attacks for ten minutes, I win. Easy right?"

"That's it?"

"Yep. Easy right?"

"Hahaha if you don't sic that dog on me, I don't need ten minutes."

'Oh? Cocky are we? I guess it's time I showed you guys what real power is.'

I mean they have the right to be cocky. Each of them possess a magicule count on par with monsters of A-rank or higher. Chloe, in particular had enough energy to put her up there with some high level majins.

She's strong even as a kid. She's really amazing. I have to save them as soon as possible.
