The three followed Schubert to the meeting room. It was time to see who the one that made connections to the Lawrence Clan was.

In the middle of the large room connected with the rest of the infrastructure by the large bridge filled with fire mechanics was the person they were looking for. And by the looks of it, he was qn simple Fatui Agent.

A mannwith brown hair and a gotee, his eyes were not visible because of the all too known Fatui mask. His name was Sergei.

Sergei looked over at the two human beings accompanying Schubert. Those two...He can swear he saw them somewhere before.

Sergei: And who, may I ask, is this? We mustn't bring just anyone in here.

Schubert:This is our new ally that I've recently met. They are completely trustworthy, you have the word of the Lawrence Clan.

Lumine:It's a pleasure to meet you.

Kumagawa:[Hi!]

Ah, such a shame. Kumagawa really wanted to see his reaction if he spoke hilichurl just now.

But he supposed it wouldn't be so satisfying in this situation. The mask stops him from seeing the Fatui official's full face.

Sergei: Our plans are strictly confidential. It's not wise to bring in an outsider at this time. Furthermore, there's been word that an outlander who joined the Knights of Favonius has been very active in Mondstadt recently.

Ah, it seems he's well informed. To know so much about the situation at hand in Mondstadt...He must be an subordinate of the Fair Lady.

And quite a capable one at that. He's not as easy to fool as Schubert, that's for sure.

Schubert:Don't be ridiculous. Besides, my guest is well-versed in the etiquette of the nobility. I must treat them with the proper mutual respect. The Knights of Favonius pay no regard to such details, they could never understand the intricacies of our etiquette.

Sergei:And what about this...Thing?

Sergei pointed in confusion at the small floating being. He wasn't even sure what it was.

Paimon:Uh...You mean Paimon?

Yet another verbal attack at Paimon's espense. Emergency food, mascot, fairy, thing...When will this slander at her persona stop?

Schubert:Enough! You dare question my word? Need I remind you who it is that has made your activity in Mondstadt possible?

Sergei raised some good points. Unfortunately for him, Schubert was a man arrogant to the point of irrationality.

Schubert:Without the support of the Lawrence Clan, you would have all been driven out by the Knights of Favonius like dogs. You must immediately offer your sincerest apologies to my friend...You've offended their honor!

Oh, it seems he does have some sense of camadery. How unexpected.

Sergei Tsk! Fine. I'll take your word and make no further inquiries.

Sergei relented at last. It was no use arguing with this guy.

Sergei:Now, to the matter at hand. Did you bring the diagram of Mondstadt's defenses, as promised?

Schubert:Yes, of course. Here it is.

Schubert took out a slip of paper from his coat. Once he handled over to Sergei, the Fatui officer unraveled it to look at the map.

Sergei:Let me see... Huh. Why is it so poorly drawn? Everything's so squiggly and crooked. And what is this shape supposed to be?

Sergei was confused by the way the map was made. Something Schubert seemed to take offense to.

Schubert:Excuse me? I'll have you know that I went to great lengths to carefully draw this map by hand myself! That "shape" is the symbol of the Knights of Favonius.

Sergei:Ah, I see. Crude, but I can make do. Are you able to verify that this is all reliable information?

Schubert:Of course, you needn't worry about that. Don't forget what we agreed upon, the flag of the Lawrence Clan will fly above the Knights of Favonius Headquarters. The rights to that building as well as the whole of Mondstadt belong to the Lawrence Clan.

Sergei:Yes, yes, we will both profit from this agreement. There's no use haggling over the details.

Kumagawa leaned over Lumine's shoulder. He whispered to her silently enough so the two arguing men couldn't hear.

Kumagawa:[It's kind of a shmae we'll have to cut this short. Tjey make for a great comedic duo.]

Lumine:I don't think that is their intention per say...

Kumagawa:[Ah, I kind of feel bad for Sergei-chan. Rather, I think he'd take prison so long as he's not put in the same cell as Schubert-chan.]

Lumine:Can't blame him.

With that little conversation over, they focused back on the matter at hand. They just had to wait for the perfect moment.

Sergei:We will make good use of the intel you provided. Also, be certain not to divulge our identity. There would be diplomatic consequences, you know.

Schubert:Don't worry. This matter is only between you and I...And my new friends here. No one else will know of it. Once this is over, I shall stand atop the Favonius Headquarters and rebuke their pathetic rule over Mondstadt. Then, the city and all its people will once again be under the rightful and unwavering rule of the Lawrence Clan! Haha, perfect! Just as it once was, and just as it should be!

Sergei sighed at Schubert's little triumpgant moment. He really began to wonder if a promotion was worth this.

Sergei:May I remind you once again that we mustn't act rashly. That is all...For now.

Lumine:Very well.

Paimon:Very well.

Kumagawa:[So the scene closes at last...]

Lumine placed her hands on her hips, an action Paimon quickly copied. Both Kumagawa and Lumine slide their masks down, causing confusion within Schubert.

Schubert:Huh, what are you doing?

Lumine:No need to keep up appearances! The jig is up!

Paimon:That's right! It's the Honorary Knights and their trusty companion, Paimon! We're here to crush your evil schemes into dust! Dust!!!

Paimon shouted loudly while floating higher with her right hand over her chest and a grin on her face. A grin that strangely resembled Kumagawa's, lie a child trying to copy their parent.

Lumine:...And breathe...

Kumagawa:[Hey, hey, no need to put her diwn like that. Paimon-chan is just having her villain arc.]

Schubert:So this was all just a ploy to deceive me!

Paimon:It's your own fault, who would put so much trust in someone based purely on their manners?

Schubert:After so much planning, this is how it ends!? We'll see about that!

Schubert turned away and run for his life. Lumine was quick to give chase and Paimon floated beside her, Kumagawa beimg left a bit behind because he stopped by the door to wave at Sergei.

Kumagawa:[Bye, bye!]
