Chapter 23:Shiels are the worst!

Things were about to come to an end. After all this search, Dvalin stood right in front of them.

All they had was to destroy that last blood clot. It wouldn't be an easy task, considering that the dragon would now fight them directly.

Venti:Now we can fight Dvalin on equal grounds. The grandest bard is here to help! But first, let me be clear...Even after hundreds of years without use, Dvalin's teeth and claws are still very dangerous.

Diluc:Nobody doubts that...

Diluc stopped talking and brought his claymore in front of him to stop Dvalin's attack. Pyro surged on the blade a small explosion being made once Dvalin's claw made contact with it, pushing Diluc back relatively unharmed.

Good thimg he managed to use his Vision on time. If not, he's sure the dragon's claw would have cleaved through his claymore and himself like a hot knife through bother.

Diluc:Despise going berserk, he still seems to maintain the ability to strategize and use oportunities.

Venti:That's Dvalin for ya'!

Kumagawa:[Ah, I see...]

Diluc:Hm?

Kumagawa:[Diluc-chan, look at it's claw.]

Diluc followed his instruction to see the claw completly fine. That's strange, the of that explosion should have at least heated up the claw, but there's no smoke and not even a stinge was left behind.

Diluc:This is...

Kumagawa:[We have to remember that he's not just a dragon, but an Anemo dragon. It's posible he has a thin but strong anemo shield around himself.]

Diluc:That seems plausible.

Kumagawa:[In that case, Jean-chan and Lumine-chan should reinforce their attacks woth Anemo, but not hit him with pure Anemo. Being the Anemo Archon, Venti-chan should have enough power to damage his shield, right?]

Venti:Leave it to me!

Jean:A good strategy.

Lumine:I really have to get myself another statue...

Venti:Hey!

Lumine:Don't blame me, there are to many beings with good defenses against Anemo in your own nation.

Venti: It's not like I...Woah!

Venti spread his arm, an anemo circular area being formed. Currents were generated, bringing the team up in the air as Dvalin flew forward, missing them by a hair.

Venti:That was close! I think he got tired of our bickering. And I planned to use it to distract him, looking for an oportunity...

Diluc:That was your plan!?

Venti:It worked for a while!

Balls of swirling Anemo were shot forward from Dvalin. Kumagawa and Lumine locked eyes for a moment, and then Lumine quickly got in front of the group with anemo surging through her legs.

A wall of flat screws shot out of the the ground, throwing Lumine in the air and shielding the rest of the group from Dvalin's attack.

The Anemo energy from Lumine's legs was eliberated, propulsimg the girl towards Dvalin. She spinned through the air, gaining momentum as she brought her sword upon the dragon.

Sparks flew as the blade made contact with the thin Anemo shield before Lumine was thrown back. Fortunately, she managed to land on the platform without any real damage dine to her.

Lumine:I really hate shields...

Jean positioned her rapier upwards, anemo swirling around her as the small tornado-like phenimenon brought rocks rotatimg around her. As she made the Anemo around her spountanously increase, making and incredible pushing force, Diluc also swinged his sword with his Vision active creating that Pyro phoenix.
