Venti froze after hearing Kumagawa speak. How did he know?

Perhaps he looks a bit like how he used to in the Archon War, all back to the time his statues were made, but he made enough changes to his appearence to not be so noticeable while also still paying omage to his old friend. Hell, he even made a fake Vision to explain his Anemo powers.

Venti:Haha, you have quite the sense of humor there, my friend.

Lumine looked over at Kumagawa, a frown of suspicion already on hee face. The mischievious grin she got in return told her all she had to know.

Lumine:Right...

Venti:So, about the teardrop...

Kumagawa:[Check your pocket.]

Curiously, Venti extracted the impure crystal from his pocket, only to discover it wasn't impure at all. As he thought, it was strange.

In the first place, Kumagawa hasn't even touched the crystal and he couldn't feel one drop of elemental energy from him. Even putting that aside, it's purity someohow felt unnatural.

It was like it had no need to be purified at all, like it was pure to begin with. This was just too abnormal.

Paimon:Ehhhh!?

Venti:You...Really do have some wonderful abilities...

Kumagawa:[This would be the first time someone described it like that...]

Although All Fiction was an incredibly powerful skill, no one ever used the world wonderful for it. It was unanimously decided as the most dangerous skill to ever exist, even more so then Irreversible Destruction.

Venti: Someone like you is going to end up getting written into a bard's poem. Oh, a hero so bright, should he stand in the light. Though stand in the shade, and you'll be met by a blade...

Kumagawa:[I think hero isn't something really suited for me. And I'm more in touch with darkness than anything else.]

Venti:Sadly, that title is already taken.

Kumagawa:[Huh, that's ironic. I know a hero that fell into darkness...Well, I suppose he got better after all that Shiranui fiasco.]

Venti:Oh? How intereting! I'd like to hear more of such a legendary story. Alas...I've really not the time to compose a melody for you at this moment. Anyway, even if Dvalin is not taken down, his life will still wither away in the breeze...He'll burn himself out in the flames of anger...

Lumine:I also feel sorry for Dvalin.

Venti:Thank you for that, and you for purifying the Teardrop Crystal. But I have my own plans for what is to follow.

Lumine:As a knight, I suggest you turn yourself in along with the dragon.

Venti:Do you really deem that necessary? You can forget about me turning us in for now...I have another plan.

Paimon:Oh? And what plan would that be?

Venti:Seeing this tear has brought to mind a friend so dear.

Paimon:Friend?

Venti:Hehe, one must be going.

Paimon:Hey! Where're you running off.

Venti:To the Symbol of Mondstadt's Hero. Bye, bye!

Paimon:Huh...What do you make of that?

Lumine:This weirdo, as you put it, we need to keep an eye on him...

Paimon:As far as he's concerned, you're a weirdo too ya know...

Lumine:You know...

Paimon: Know what?
