Beomgyu hummed along to his favorite playlist as he moved around the house, cleaning and organizing. Every few minutes, he’d break into a little dance, his anklet chiming with each step. The cheerful “ding, ding, ding” filled the quiet house, making him smile just imagining Yeonjun’s reaction when he came home to a spotless house and a homemade dinner.

As he placed the last touches on the dinner table, he heard the front door open. “I’m home!” Yeonjun’s voice rang out.

“Yeonjun!” Beomgyu called back, hurrying over from the kitchen. He met Yeonjun in the doorway, wrapping him in a warm hug. The jingling of his anklet echoed as they embraced.

Yeonjun chuckled, holding him close. “Missed me that much, huh?” he teased, brushing a kiss over Beomgyu’s forehead.

“Of course I did! I’ve been waiting for you all day,” Beomgyu replied, grinning. “And I made us dinner,” he added proudly, taking Yeonjun’s hand and leading him to the dining room.

Yeonjun’s eyes widened as he looked at the food spread across the table. “Wow, Gyu… you did all this? It looks incredible.”

Beomgyu blushed, trying to brush off the compliment. “I just wanted to do something special for you. You work so hard. You deserve to come home and relax.”

Yeonjun squeezed his hand, smiling softly. “You make me feel special every day, Gyu. I’m so lucky to have you.”

Beomgyu’s blush deepened. “Alright, alright, enough with the compliments! Just eat,” he laughed, nudging Yeonjun’s hand. “I want to know if it actually tastes good.”

Yeonjun laughed, taking his first bite. His eyes lit up. “Wow… this is amazing. I think you might be an even better cook than me.”

Beomgyu waved him off. “I doubt that. But I’m glad you like it.”

They ate together, laughing and talking about their days. After they finished, Beomgyu stood up, gathering the dishes. “Sit right there—I’ll clean up.”

Yeonjun stretched back, watching him with a smile. “I could get used to this, you know.”

Later that evening, Yeonjun headed to his office to finish up a project on family dynamics. As he worked, his thoughts drifted to his own life, imagining what it might be like to have a family with Beomgyu someday. It was a strange, thrilling thought, one he hadn’t let himself think too much about yet.

A gentle knock on the door pulled him from his thoughts. Beomgyu entered, carrying a cup of tea. “I thought you could use a break,” he said, smiling as he handed it over. “Drink up.”

Yeonjun took the cup, grateful for the gesture. “You’re amazing, you know that?”

Beomgyu shrugged, looking pleased. “Only for you,” he replied, leaning down to kiss him on the cheek. “Don’t work too late, okay?”

After Beomgyu left, Yeonjun took a sip, lost in thought. “One day,” he murmured with a soft smile. “But there’s plenty of time…”

He eventually closed his laptop, putting away his work for the night. Quietly, he entered their bedroom and found Beomgyu already fast asleep, curled up under the covers. Smiling, Yeonjun slipped into bed beside him, wrapping an arm around him.

Beomgyu stirred slightly, mumbling sleepily, “Yeonjun?”

“Shh,” Yeonjun whispered, smoothing Beomgyu’s hair. “Go back to sleep, Gyu. I’m right here.”

Beomgyu snuggled closer, sighing contentedly as he drifted back to sleep. “Goodnight, Jjunie,” he murmured.

Yeonjun held him close, feeling a sense of warmth and contentment. Whatever the future held, he knew he wanted Beomgyu by his side, now and always.
