The hospital room was silent except for the rhythmic beeping of the heart monitor. Beomgyu lay peacefully in the bed, his face soft with sleep. On the couch nearby, Yeonjun was sprawled out, one arm hanging off the side, his mouth slightly open as he snored.

The door creaked open slowly, and Soobin and Huening Kai peeked inside. They exchanged a mischievous glance, grinning at the sight of the two sleeping figures.

“They look so peaceful,” Huening Kai whispered, stifling a laugh.

“Too peaceful,” Soobin replied, his smirk widening. “Let’s fix that.”

Huening Kai’s eyes sparkled with excitement as Soobin motioned for him to move toward Beomgyu. Meanwhile, Soobin tiptoed toward Yeonjun, his steps light as a feather. Once in position, Soobin held up his fingers, signaling the countdown: one… two… three.

“BOO!” they shouted in unison.

Beomgyu shot up in bed, his blanket flying off. “WHAT THE—!” he shrieked, his eyes wide with shock.

Yeonjun flailed on the couch, nearly rolling off. “What the hell is wrong with you?!” he shouted, clutching his chest.

Soobin and Huening Kai burst out laughing, doubling over at the chaos they had unleashed.

Beomgyu, however, was not amused. He glared at Huening Kai, his tone sharp. “You’ve got some nerve, waking me up like that!”

Huening Kai tried to hide his grin, but it only made Beomgyu’s glare more intense.

“You’re lucky I’m in a hospital bed, or you’d be the one needing treatment!” Beomgyu snapped, pointing an accusing finger at him.

Yeonjun, now sitting up and rubbing his temple, shook his head and chuckled. “This is not my problem. Good luck with him,” he said, standing up and grabbing his jacket. “I’m out of here.”

“Coward!” Soobin called after him as Yeonjun walked to the door.

Yeonjun turned back with a smirk. “Nah, I’m just smart. You guys have fun with Hurricane Beomgyu.” With that, he left, the door clicking shut behind him.

Beomgyu’s attention snapped back to Soobin and Huening Kai. His voice was a mix of irritation and disbelief. “Who thought this was a good idea?! Whose plan was this?!”

Huening Kai’s eyes widened as he immediately pointed at Soobin. “It was his idea! Your hyung planned the whole thing. Bye, baby!” he said quickly before darting toward the door.

“HUENING KAI, COME BACK HERE!” Beomgyu yelled, but Huening Kai was already gone.

Soobin put his hands up in surrender, a sheepish smile on his face. “Gyu, let’s talk about this. It was just a joke!”

“A joke?!” Beomgyu exclaimed, his voice rising. Without warning, he slapped Soobin’s arm.

“Ow!” Soobin yelped, rubbing the spot. “That hurt!”

“Good! It was supposed to!” Beomgyu huffed, crossing his arms.

Before Soobin could respond, the door opened again, this time revealing the doctor. Huening Kai and Yeonjun stood behind him, both trying to look innocent but failing miserably.

The doctor walked in with a warm smile, holding a clipboard. “I have some good news,” he said. “Beomgyu, your baby boy is perfectly healthy.”

Beomgyu’s eyes widened, his anger evaporating instantly. “My Jungwoo?” he whispered, his voice trembling with emotion.

The doctor nodded. “Yes, Jungwoo is doing well. You can see him soon.”

Beomgyu let out a shaky breath as tears welled up in his eyes. He stood up from the bed, his previous frustration forgotten, and grabbed the doctor’s hands tightly. “My Jungwoo… my baby boy… Thank you, doctor. Thank you so much.”

Huening Kai peeked over the doctor’s shoulder, a small smile on his lips. “See? We told you everything would be okay, Beomgyu.”

Yeonjun crossed his arms, leaning against the doorframe. “Yeah, but I’m still not dealing with him when he wakes up cranky. That’s all on you guys.”

Beomgyu glanced at them, his expression softening. “You’re all lucky Jungwoo is okay, or I’d never forgive you for scaring me awake like that.”

Soobin chuckled, patting Beomgyu’s shoulder. “You’re tougher than you look, Gyu. We’ll see Jungwoo together, okay?”

Beomgyu nodded, wiping his tears with a small smile. “Okay. Let’s go see my baby.”
