A year had passed since Yeonjun graduated from college. Now, as the CEO of his father’s company, his days were a whirlwind of meetings, deadlines, and decisions. Most nights, he worked late, often staying at the office until well past 8 p.m. Meanwhile, Beomgyu had taken up a job at a cozy local café, where he served regulars and found joy in the small, peaceful moments of his day.
One evening, as Beomgyu was getting ready to close the café, Yeonjun’s assistant, Ms. Lee, walked in. She approached the counter with her usual friendly smile.
“Hello, Beomgyu! I’m here to pick up the usual for Mr. Choi,” she said.
Beomgyu smiled, already grabbing the iced Americano ingredients. “Let me guess—extra ice, no sugar?”
Ms. Lee laughed. “You really do know him well.”
Beomgyu chuckled, pouring the coffee into a cup. “Of course, he’s my husband. But actually, I think I’ll bring it to him myself tonight. It’s been a while since I surprised him at the office.”
Ms. Lee’s eyes lit up. “Oh, he’ll love that! He’s been working nonstop. A visit from you might be exactly what he needs.”
Beomgyu finished preparing the drink, placed a lid on it, and carefully set it in a drink holder. “Alright, Ms. Lee, I’ll close up here and head over. Thanks for stopping by.”
With a wave, Beomgyu finished closing the café for the night, eager to surprise Yeonjun.

Yeonjun’s Office
Beomgyu arrived at the towering high-rise where Yeonjun’s office was located. As he walked through the doors, he greeted the receptionist, who recognized him immediately.
“Good evening, Beomgyu! Going up to see Mr. Choi?” she asked with a smile.
“Yes, thought I’d surprise him with his favorite coffee,” Beomgyu replied warmly before heading to the elevator.
Arriving at Yeonjun’s office, Beomgyu knocked lightly on the door.
“Come in!” Yeonjun’s voice called out.
Beomgyu opened the door, holding the iced Americano with a big grin. “Surprise! I brought your favorite.”
Yeonjun looked up, his face instantly softening when he saw Beomgyu. “Beomgyu! You actually came all the way here?”
Beomgyu walked over, handing him the drink. “Of course! I know you’ve been working late, so I thought I’d bring you a little energy boost.”
Yeonjun took the drink, setting it aside for a moment to reach out and pull Beomgyu into a hug. “Thank you, babe. You have no idea how much I needed this.” He gently patted his lap. “Come here, sit with me.”
Beomgyu laughed, his anklet chiming softly as he moved, settling onto Yeonjun’s lap. “You always make me feel so spoiled, Yeonjun.”
Yeonjun smiled, glancing down at Beomgyu’s ankles. “No shoes again? How are you wandering around the city like this?”
Beomgyu shrugged playfully. “I don’t know, it feels natural. Besides, I like being able to feel things under my feet.”
Yeonjun chuckled, shaking his head. “Maybe it’s your way of staying connected to the world.” He brushed a hand over Beomgyu’s cheek, his expression softening. “But right now, these cheeks of yours are just begging to be kissed.”
Beomgyu’s cheeks flushed pink as he giggled. “Hyung, you’re so cheesy.”
“Can’t help it,” Yeonjun teased, leaning in to plant a soft kiss on Beomgyu’s cheek, making him laugh and snuggle closer.
