Beomgyu sat on the bed, gently rocking baby Jungwoo in his arms. The soft coos of the newborn filled the quiet room, creating a soothing melody that calmed Beomgyu’s heart. He couldn’t help but smile as he ran his fingers over Jungwoo’s tiny hand. "You’re so perfect, Jungwoo," he murmured. "Mama loves you so much."
Across the room, Yeonjun sat on the couch, his laptop balanced on his knees as he attended an important business meeting. His expression was serious, but his eyes kept drifting to Beomgyu and Jungwoo. Every glance softened his features, revealing the love he tried to keep tucked away while on the call.
A small cry erupted from Jungwoo’s lips, breaking the tranquil moment. Beomgyu’s brow furrowed as he adjusted the baby in his arms. "Oh, no, no. What’s wrong, my baby?" he asked softly, quickly reaching for a pacifier.
Jungwoo’s cries quieted as soon as the pacifier found his mouth. Beomgyu chuckled, relief washing over him. "There we go. It’s okay, sweetheart. Mama’s here."
Yeonjun turned his head slightly, raising an eyebrow. "Babe," he called out, his tone laced with a hint of teasing. "Can you keep him quiet? I’m in the middle of a meeting."
Beomgyu shot him a look, a playful smirk tugging at his lips. "Excuse me, Mr. Choi Yeonjun. He’s a baby. What do you expect? Perfect silence?"
"Yes," Yeonjun replied, his voice deadpan. He waved toward the laptop. "I’m trying to focus here."
Beomgyu laughed, shaking his head as he kissed Jungwoo’s forehead. "Don’t listen to your Dada, Jungwoo. He’s just grumpy because he’s working."
Yeonjun sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose before addressing his team. "Give me a second, please." He muted himself and turned fully toward Beomgyu. "Babe, seriously. Can you—"
"I love you, Jungwoo," Beomgyu interrupted, completely ignoring Yeonjun’s frustration. He tilted his head to meet Yeonjun’s gaze, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "And you too, baby."
Yeonjun groaned, his resolve melting at the sight of Beomgyu’s warm smile. He unmuted the call briefly to excuse himself. "Can we continue this later? Something urgent just came up." Without waiting for their response, he closed the laptop and set it aside.
He crossed the room and leaned down, planting a soft kiss on Beomgyu’s forehead and then on Jungwoo’s tiny head. "I love you both," he whispered, his voice tender.
Beomgyu beamed at him, his eyes sparkling. "I love you too."
Suddenly, Beomgyu perked up as if he’d remembered something. "Oh! Yeonjun, grab my bag! I got something for Jungwoo."
"What is it this time?" Yeonjun asked suspiciously as he fetched the bag from the dresser. "Please don’t tell me it’s another overpriced—"
"It’s worth it!" Beomgyu cut in, rummaging through the bag with one hand while holding Jungwoo with the other. After a moment, he pulled out a delicate anklet adorned with a tiny butterfly charm.
Yeonjun frowned. "Is that what you spent $400 on using my card?"
Beomgyu’s cheeks flushed. "Yes, but look!" He turned the anklet to show the engraved words: Mama Beomgyu on one side and Dada Yeonjun on the other. "It’s for Jungwoo. Isn’t it beautiful?"
Yeonjun sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose again. "Babe, you really need to ask before you—"
"But you love it, right?" Beomgyu interrupted, his eyes wide and hopeful.
Yeonjun looked between Beomgyu, Jungwoo, and the anklet before finally caving. "Yes, I love it. And you know I can’t stay mad at you."
Beomgyu grinned triumphantly as he gently fastened the anklet around Jungwoo’s tiny foot. "There. Now it’s official. You’re my baby, Jungwoo."
Yeonjun shook his head, leaning down to kiss Beomgyu’s lips softly. "I love you," he murmured against Beomgyu’s mouth.
"I love you too," Beomgyu replied, resting his head on Yeonjun’s shoulder.
Yeonjun placed a hand on Jungwoo’s back, cradling both of them in his arms. "I love you both more than anything."
As the three of them sat there, basking in their love, Beomgyu glanced at Yeonjun with a sly smile. "Now about that credit card bill..."
Yeonjun groaned, but his laughter filled the room as he kissed Beomgyu again.
