Five months into Beomgyu’s pregnancy, their lives had shifted into a rhythm. Today, Beomgyu was lounging on the plush couch in Yeonjun’s office, his hands resting on his growing belly as Yeonjun worked at his desk. The soft hum of Yeonjun’s voice during a video conference filled the room, but Beomgyu quickly grew bored.

Lying on his side, he watched Yeonjun’s intense expression as he spoke to the camera. Beomgyu smiled to himself. He loved how serious Yeonjun looked when he was working, but right now, he was desperate for attention. A mischievous idea struck him, and without hesitation, he got up and walked over to Yeonjun.

“Gyu,” Yeonjun said, glancing at him out of the corner of his eye. “What are you doing?”

Beomgyu didn’t answer. Instead, he climbed onto Yeonjun’s lap, draping his arms around his husband’s neck. Yeonjun froze, his eyes widening.

“Baby, I’m in a meeting,” he whispered, muting the mic.

“And I’m in need of cuddles,” Beomgyu said with a playful pout. “You’ve been ignoring me all day!”

“Gyu, they can see me,” Yeonjun said, his tone laced with a mix of amusement and exasperation.

“But the camera’s not angled this low,” Beomgyu teased, leaning in to place a soft kiss on Yeonjun’s cheek.

Yeonjun sighed, shaking his head. “The mic is still on, though.”

“Oh,” Beomgyu giggled, then leaned closer to whisper in his ear, “Guess you’ll just have to mute yourself more often.”

Yeonjun shot him a warning glare but couldn’t help the small smile tugging at his lips. “Behave,” he murmured.

Beomgyu ignored the warning and started playing with Yeonjun’s tie, tugging it gently. “I love how sharp you look in suits,” he said, brushing his fingers over Yeonjun’s jawline.

“Beomgyu,” Yeonjun warned again, but his tone was softer this time.

Before Yeonjun could say more, he had to unmute himself to respond to a question. He quickly placed a hand over Beomgyu’s mouth to keep him quiet.

“Yes, we can do that,” Yeonjun said, his voice steady as if he weren’t holding back his giggling husband.

When he muted himself again, he looked down at Beomgyu. “You’re lucky I love you.”

Beomgyu pouted, resting his head on Yeonjun’s chest. “You’d be bored without me.”

“That’s debatable,” Yeonjun teased, running his hand through Beomgyu’s hair to soothe him.

When the meeting finally ended, Yeonjun leaned back in his chair with a sigh. Beomgyu perked up instantly.

“So, now that you’re free…” Beomgyu began, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

“What do you want?” Yeonjun asked, already bracing himself.

Beomgyu grinned. “Let’s go shopping for the baby!”

Yeonjun blinked. “Shopping? Right now?”

“Yes, right now! We need clothes, toys, and maybe a crib,” Beomgyu said, his excitement bubbling over.

Yeonjun chuckled. “Alright, fine. But wait—are you serious? You really want to go now?”

Beomgyu nodded enthusiastically. “Yes! I’ll wait in the car!”

Before Yeonjun could respond, Beomgyu was off his lap and out the door in a flash. Yeonjun shook his head, smiling as he packed up his belongings.

At the mall, Beomgyu’s energy was infectious as he dragged Yeonjun from aisle to aisle in the baby section.

“Look at this!” Beomgyu exclaimed, holding up a tiny pair of shoes. “Aren’t they adorable?”

“They’re cute,” Yeonjun agreed, adding them to the cart.

Beomgyu darted off again, picking out clothes, toys, and other baby essentials. Yeonjun followed behind with the cart, his heart full as he watched Beomgyu’s excitement.

A few minutes later, Beomgyu stood in front of a display of pacifiers, staring at the colorful options. “Hyung!” he called, motioning for Yeonjun to come over.

“What’s wrong now?” Yeonjun asked, amused.

“I can’t decide,” Beomgyu admitted, holding up two options. “Which one do you like better—the baby blue one or the yellow one?”

“The blue one,” Yeonjun said without hesitation.

“But the yellow one is more fun,” Beomgyu said, frowning.

Yeonjun sighed. “Then why did you ask me if you weren’t going to take my advice?”

Beomgyu giggled, leaning up to kiss his cheek. “Don’t be mad, baby.”

“I’m not mad,” Yeonjun said, though his voice carried a playful edge. “Just pick the one you like.”

Beomgyu grabbed the yellow pacifier, placing it in the cart with a grin.

As they moved to another aisle, Beomgyu’s eyes lit up when he saw a set of matching family pajamas. “Yeonjun! Look at these!” he said excitedly, holding them up.

Yeonjun glanced at him briefly, distracted by a message on his phone. “Mm-hmm,” he said absentmindedly.

“Baby!” Beomgyu whined, stomping his foot. “You’re not even looking!”

Yeonjun looked up, startled. “What is it, love?”

“These!” Beomgyu said, holding up the pajamas again. “Aren’t they adorable?”

Yeonjun smiled sheepishly. “They’re cute. Do you want them?”

“Yes!” Beomgyu said, his pout instantly turning into a smile. He grabbed sizes for all three of them—his, Yeonjun’s, and the baby’s—and tossed them into the cart.

After paying for everything, they returned home. Beomgyu immediately started unpacking their purchases, already envisioning how to set up the baby’s room.

Yeonjun leaned against the doorframe, watching him with a fond smile. “You’re going to be an amazing parent,” he said softly.

Beomgyu looked up, his cheeks flushing. “Only because I have you by my side.”

Yeonjun walked over, pulling him into a gentle hug. “I’m the lucky one,” he murmured, kissing the top of Beomgyu’s head.

As they stood there, wrapped in each other’s arms, they couldn’t wait for the day their little one would join them.
