𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐞 gets a phone call in the SUV as she sits in the back with Spencer and Dave with Hotch and Derek in front of her and she quickly answers it, she sees Hotch look up into the rear view whilst Spencer glances at her before focusing on something else and Dave looks at her with intrigued look.
"Hello?" Callie answers looking anywhere but the rear view mirror her boss is looking at her from.
"Calliope, at some point we need to talk" the familiar yet chilling voice said and Callie shudders slightly hoping Hotch didn't notice it.
"Like I told you before I want nothing to do with you, don't find me and stop calling me." Callie says coldly which is not normal before hanging up.
Before Hotch can ask her what that was about Derek receives a call from Brady and he answers it.
"Same type of victims?" Derek asks.
"Yeah, all gangbangers." Brady replies before an unknown voice speaks up.
"Good riddance, if you ask me."
"Who's that" Hotch asks picking up on the unfamiliarity of the voice.
"It's Benson. He's from the gang task force." Brady replies before Benson chimes in again.
"If anyone had a violent end coming..." he trails off
"What's the scene like?" Hotch asks
"It's actually the gang leader's personal house. A guy named Glen Hill." Brady says
"His street name is Reaper. Guys why." Benson asks
"Only Benson and me have been inside. I didn't do much. I kind of backed out the minutes I saw them." Brady admits.
"How many?" Rossi asks Brady from the back.
"Six. Four inside, two outside."
"No survivors at all?" Callie asks furrowing her brows leaning forward.
"Never thought I could feel sorry for these gang banging sons of bitches." Brady says and Callie feels for him given he doesn't see these things everyday whilst the team are somewhat immune to them.
"We'll be there in a few minutes." Hotch says to the phone still keeping an eye on the road ahead before Derek ends the call.
"He actually went to the gang banger's house?" Derek says looking at Hotch.
"The other victims were in alleys and dark corners. It could be the UnSub was initially just defending himself." Spencer suggests looking at the two agents in-front before looking at the two agents next to him.
"Like Bernie Goetz, riding the subways with a guns, waiting for someone to confront him." Rossi says
"Except he's seeking them out now." Hotch says
"Because psychotics in a break always devolve." Spencer says.
"And god help whoever he finds." Callie says.
"Only a matter of time before he becomes dangerous to those closer to him." Rossi says and Callie nods before turning to look out the window watching the other cars go by.
Hotch glances up at her in the rear view mirror again making sure to note that later when they have a moment he'll talk to her. - - ┈┈∘┈˃̶༒˂̶┈∘┈┈ - -
𝐓𝐡𝐞 team get out of the SUV's once they arrive at the crime scene. Callie gets out and puts a hand through her before going under the yellow crime scene tape following the unit chief's lead. As they enter the house they see some sort of graffiti and Hotch turns to Brady.
"TSK?" Hotch asks trying to know the significance.
"Twenty-Third Street Killers." Brady answers
"Look like they tried to fight back." Rossi says looking around.
"They failed." Spencer says obviously.
"Miserably" Callie says focusing on specifics.
"Are we sure this isn't some kind of gang retaliation kind of thing?" Brady asks looking at the team of agents around him.
"You're on the task force. Ever see a street gang do something like this?" Rossi asks Benson.
"Yeah, but one guy?" Bensons replies.
"One guy with a weapon, psychotic rage and surprise on his side." Derek says
"Yeah, just look at any school or workplace shooting." Callie says giving examples.
"So, what do we do now?" Brady asks the agents.
"We're already doing it." Rossi replies.
"An UnSub in a psychotic rage stands out." Spencer says.
"Agent Jareau's got the media playing the press conference every hour. She's putting the profile out to the public. Someone in this man's world knows he's in a crisis. Hopefully, they'll recognise the description." Hotch says
"Hotch, you need to see this." Emily says and Hotch follows her.
