Noah's diary
"So I went to Chris's house to interview him. As if being his assistant had any advantage, I remembered his address. "Well, I didn't expect a former candidate to come and see me. Did you miss me too much?" said Chris once he'd opened the door, "Don't dream. It's just that I've got to work," I said, putting together a scenario to hide my identity as a spy, 'Work?', "Yes. I've become a journalist and my superiors thought it was a good idea to do a report on Total Drama. As a result, I'm obliged to interview you...", 'And which newspaper do you work for?', 'The Telegram.', 'Wait, it's the newspaper of my homeland.', "And yes. Don't ask me why, but the locals are all fans of yours and asked for a Total Drama issue.", "All right. I'm listening.". Of course, I could have started asking questions for our investigation right away, but I had to be discreet, so after asking a few useless questions, I finally got to the interrogation: "Next question. Newfoundland fans love your psychopathic side and wonder if you could do worse. Is that the case?", 'Of course, I can always torture the candidates more', 'And, any idea how you could do that?', "Simply by adapting with the times. I'll give you an exclusive: next season will feature an AI that will decide on the challenges.", 'An AI?', "And yes. The AI will also add difficulties to each challenge to hurt the competitors.", 'And, for one season, would you be able to cause catastrophes that could bring about the apocalypse?', "Catastrophes? Why not... but not to the point of apocalypse. How would I torture teenagers afterwards?". He's not wrong... Chris likes to see people suffer, not destroy everything. So I guess he's innocent. Just as I was getting back to normal questions to close the "interview", Cody calls me. "Sorry Chris, I've got to take this," I said, putting my questions down and picking up the phone, 'Yes?', 'Noah?' Cody answered the phone, "No, no, it's a ghost answering you. What do you think?", "Yeah... that's true. Uh... there's a little problem at the film studio.", 'Like what?', 'A corpse.', 'It's true that it's a problem...', 'What do I do?', 'What do you think?', 'Should I call the police?', "No! "Should I call the police?", 'No! You need to call the department of our newspaper dedicated to this kind of subject.', 'The department of our newspaper?', "Listen, I'm still with Chris. I've got to finish the interview with him.", "Interview? I thought you were supposed to interview him.", 'Yes. I am.', 'And what's our newspaper department?', 'Think about it...', 'Uh... the lab?', "Incredible! There's a brain in your head!", "Hey, I also found the crumbling tracer. I took it for analysis. Maybe the Black Viper left a clue there when they destroyed it," 'Well... see you back at the offices,' I said as I hung up. "Sorry Chris, I've got an intern under my arms and he's incompetent. He was supposed to upload a story but the site crashed and he didn't know what to do," I lied to continue my journalist coverage, 'Interns... always incompetent.' replied Chris. So I went back to the normal questions and then went off to interview the 2nd suspect."
Cody's diary
A few hours earlier.
"When I arrived at the abandoned film studio, I immediately set off in search of clues. As Noah had predicted, the radio-controlled monster had disappeared. I also found the shattered tracer in the cafeteria. I picked it up, hoping to get proof from its analysis. I continued exploring the studio, hoping to find another clue, but I found worse. A body! After having... a normal reaction to seeing a corpse, I tried to identify it. It's not Chris, it's not Chef, it's not a former contestant, it's not an intern. So this dead guy is unknown. I called Noah to find out what to do, but I couldn't understand what he was telling me. Eventually, I realized that he was playing the journalist's role so he wouldn't be caught out as a spy. I then called the Nest lab so they could analyze the tracer... and autopsy the body. While I waited for the specialists to arrive, I thought of Noah with admiration. He's thought of a cover to interrogate Chris, knows how to handle the situation under stress. He's incredible. I have absolutely no regrets about being his partner.. . partner in the sense of teammate... although I wouldn't mind more.... Wow, what am I writing here? The discovery of a dead person makes me write these things..."
Noah's diary
"After ''interviewing'' Chris, I went to see Chef. I told the same lie so I could interview him but adapted my questions for the interview, "Would you be willing to take Chris's place?" I asked, "I did it once during Action. It was tiring," "It's true that it was just Beth and Duncan then. Does that mean you'd never want to be a host?", 'Not for the world.', "And you said you sometimes had trouble putting up with Chris. In those moments, did you ever think of taking revenge by trying to be even more psychopathic than him?", "No. I'm not crazy. I'm not crazy. If I have to get back at him, I'll just make him endure the same things he makes me endure", 'So you wouldn't do anything illegal to hurt him?', 'Of course not'. Chef's answers are credible. So I knew he was innocent. The bad news is that we no longer have a suspect. The good news is that maybe Cody's findings will point us in the right direction. I returned to the Nest after the interrogation and finished with credible questions so as not to arouse Chef's suspicions. And I'd have to make sure those 'interviews' actually appeared in The Telegram so as not to reveal that my journalist questions weren't journalist questions."
