"After debriefing with Noah and having a moment of confusion (it almost felt like we were about to kiss... it would've been so great... uh... interesting... well, uh... incredible... no, I mean it would've been... okay, let's move on with the journal), we returned to Hythe at the Nest. Luckily, Noah had the brilliant idea, as brilliant as he is, to create a decoy and plant a mini GPS tracker... as brilliant as his sarcasm, that's what I meant to say. So we were watching the movement of the Black Vipers on the receiver. They stayed at one location for a long time. 'Do you think it's their base?' I asked Noah. 'I don't know... the answer should be obvious, and yet, I have doubts.' 'Doubts? What do you mean?' 'The place where they stopped, sure we don't have visual confirmation, but it doesn't seem like a base. It just looks like they're outside.' 'Maybe they're just getting some fresh air,' I joked. 'You can be so immature,' Noah said, laughing too. Once we stopped laughing, we moved closer and... and we saw the tracker disappear. 'What just happened?' I asked. 'The Black Vipers! They must have noticed the tracker and destroyed it. Which means the place they were at wasn't their base. They wouldn't destroy a tracker there.' 'So we don't have any clues left...' 'Yes, we do! They took a long time to destroy the tracker. They might have left a clue there.' 'Maybe... should we go?' 'No!' 'No?' 'No. We need to figure out the location first. Don't forget, Gap: a spy always has to be prepared. I'll handle the search,' Noah said as he left. Well... guess I'll go explore Hythe."

Noah's diary

"After watching the tracker for a long time, we realized the Vipers had stopped at a location. That place could've easily been their base, but it seemed strange to me. An organization capable of launching a cyberattack and creating bombs not using a jammer to block outside technology like they do at the Nest? It doesn't make sense. After I shared my suspicions with Cody, and after we joked around and almost kissed... I mean... uh... got close, the tracker stopped working. You didn't need to be a genius to figure out the Vipers had broken it. So, I started looking for information on the location where the tracker stopped working to assess any potential dangers. What I found left me speechless. At least it allowed me to identify two suspects. Now, I just have to wait for Cody to come back. I miss him... he's actually a good teammate. He's brave, smart, optimistic, cheerful, I always want to protect him, he's funny, handsome, and I... wow, what am I even writing? Why does the Nest force us to keep a journal with permanent ink? I know I could just cross this out, but... for some reason, I feel like owning up to my words. Problem is, I still don't know what's happening to me. I always want to be with Cody, he makes me laugh, and the way he blushes is so cute. But... do I love him? Do I love Cody? Oh... shit!"

"After visiting Hythe, calling my friends and parents (who didn't answer, they're always at work. That's why I took this job. I'm sure my parents didn't even notice I left...), I returned to the Nest. I joined Noah in our quarters, and he looked thoughtful. 'What's up?' I asked. 'I realized something...' 'What is it?' 'Well, the fact that I... I've identified two suspects.' 'How did you do that?' 'By finding the location where the tracker was. If I tell you: abandoned movie studio and reality TV, what do you think of?' 'Total Drama Action?' 'Exactly. That's where the Black Vipers went. I also think they must have stolen something from there.' 'And what might that be?' 'The remote-controlled monster. It's useful for causing damage.' 'And how did you identify two suspects?' 'Think about it! The second place we went was Pahkitew. Now it's the abandoned movie studio. Who are the two people who've been to both places?' 'Uh... us? To the movie studio when Chris announced World Tour, and to Pahkitew not long ago.' 'Yes... but... the two people who know it inside and out because they stayed there for all the episodes.' 'No one from our generation of contestants was on Pahkitew Island.' 'I'm not talking about contestants!' 'Oh... Chris and Chef!' 'Exactly! And if you think about it, it's totally Chris' style to want to provoke disasters.' 'Fair point. So, what do we do? Interrogate them or investigate the studio?' 'Both, captain.' 'Both?' 'I doubt the Black Vipers are still at the studio. There's no danger there anymore. So, one of us will investigate, and the other will take turns interrogating Chris and Chef... discreetly.' 'Not a bad idea. What do you want to do?' 'I don't think discretion is really your thing...' 'Hey!' 'And you're pretty observant. You did find the bomb at Pahkitew. You'll handle the investigation better.' 'Fine.' 'We'll stay in touch,' Noah said as he left."
