Cody's diary
"While we were figuring out how to find the Viper base, I remembered the dead guy I'd found. Noah explained that nobody knows who's investigating what except our boss... who we can't question. So we set off on a mission to spy on our colleagues. "How many spies are there, in fact?" I asked, "Er... about a hundred. I was the only one not in a team, so all the others are paired up. So we have about 48 people to interview... in 3 days." he replied, 'All spies can work on any case?', "Yes. Whether you're a beginner or not, you can have a very complicated mission. Look, this is your 1st mission and yet, we're struggling.", "Fair enough. Do you have an idea for espionage?", "Could be. We could do what our boss is doing against us.", 'What do you mean?', 'Read other people's diaries.', 'Good idea.', 'Well, let's divide up the work.'. Then Noah made a list containing all the names of our spies, "How do you know their names? You're not usually the social type," I asked, 'I told you I'd hacked our security, so I found out that way.'. Then we parted ways."

"After explaining to Cody the plan to find the team responsible for the murder, I began to break into the lockers of all the spies, one by one. Strangely, however, none of them had journals. So Cody and I would be the only ones who had to keep a diary... This confirms that our boss is a traitor, but there's something that puzzles me. Our boss is smart enough to have created a spy organization, but he's not trying to hide the fact that he's a traitor. If he wanted to hide it, he'd have asked everyone to write a diary. That's another mystery to solve. But first, another plan to find the murder team. I had first joined Cody in telling him that there was no point in looking for diaries and told him my conclusion. "It doesn't change the fact that we still don't know which team is responsible for the murder", 'Is there any way of finding out?', 'No.', 'Isn't there a database of our missions?', 'No.', 'There's got to be a way...'. We spent several hours going round in circles and thinking. Cody's ideas were good, but bad (he wanted to ask directly, but I told him we couldn't)... it was still cute. "I know!" then exclaims Cody suddenly, "Come on, say your rotten idea again.", "Nice trust. We could see the messages from the lab.", "You know how the lab, once a sample is analyzed, just puts a letter in our quarters. Letter that we then have to burn.", 'Yeah, I know.', 'So... how do you want to retrieve a message?', 'By trapping them.'
Cody's diary
"After several hours of research, Noah informed me that we were the only 2 keeping a diary and pointed out that the boss was acting strangely, as a traitor. Anyway, I had an idea about the team investigating the murder. Frame the lab. "Set them up? What do you mean?" had asked Noah, 'If we reproduce a letter that says to bring us back to the lab for the murder case, hopefully someone will drop the name.', 'Unlikely but not impossible... anyway, we don't have any other ideas.'. So I set about reproducing a fake letter from the lab. Noah had pointed out that we don't know if a sample is analyzed, so just in case, he asked me to write that the lab had a lead on the murder. He showed me the handwriting of the person most likely to be fooled, and I managed to reproduce it. Once the letter was written, we headed to the lab. "Huh? What are you doing here?" asked the expert, 'You're the one who asked us to come.' said Noah, "What? But... no...", "Yeah... that's what it looked like. Someone played a bad joke on us," I said, "A bad joke? What do you mean?". We showed him the letter and Noah said, "Besides, we could have guessed. We're not the ones in charge of this investigation", "Yes, I know. It's Eloise and Sydney who are in charge of... oh..." began the expert, 'You little bastards...' he finished as he realized she'd been set up. "Sorry, we needed this info for our investigation," I apologized, 'Why didn't you ask our boss?'. Noah and I looked at each other. We couldn't tell the truth to keep the boss from knowing about our suspicions. So... we improvised, "Uh... it was Noah's idea!" I panicked. Noah glowered at me, unhappy that I'd left him in the shit alone. The expert looked at Noah and Noah replied, "Because I love tricking people.", "I'm not even surprised about you...", "Come on, no hard feelings.". Noah and I left the lab. "Thanks for the support, Cody, it's always nice.", 'Yeah well... I panicked...', 'That's an understatement.', 'Sorry...', "It's okay. How could I be mad at my favorite Gap?". I felt myself blushing as I heard this, "Is... is that a compliment?", "The way you're blushing, I'm guessing you're taking it as such.", "I'm not blushing... it's... my natural complexion.", "Worse justification, Gap.". That Noah... he's so annoying, so bad, so teasing, so funny, so handsome, so perfect."
