Noah's diary

"It took us all night, but miraculously we finally succeeded. "This is it!" exclaimed Cody when we found it, "Wow, calm down. Everyone's asleep," I said, 'Buzz kill.', 'This isn't a game we're playing, Cody!', 'What are you so serious about all of a sudden?', "Damn it, Cody, we're coming to the end of our mission. You know the Black Vipers are dangerous. You have to be careful. Do you want me to remind you what happened the last time we ran into a Viper?", 'So that's it... you're afraid I'll get shot again.', 'What do you think, Sherlock?', "We just know we'll have to watch out for ambushes. We can do it, Noah.", 'Well... if you say so... but we've got to prepare for it, so now we're going to prepare for our infiltration and we've got to sleep afterwards too.', 'Good.'."

Cody's diary

"We've finally managed to find the Black Vipers' base. On the other hand, this news seems to be stressing Noah out. He seems so worried about me that, if it wasn't for him, I might have thought he was genuinely concerned about me. But Noah is who he is, so it must just be that he's very serious. After we found the Black Vipers' base, we went to the gadget lab to get ready for the infiltration. "Well, we'll have to be very discreet. We don't know how many Vipers there are, so we'd better avoid confrontation. The plan is simple: either we manage to defuse their apocalypse plan by sabotaging all their weapons... or we kill their boss." announces Noah, 'So we still need weapons.' I say, "Yes, but I think the Vipers have metal detectors... as well as cameras and maybe motion detectors and alarms. Since we'll be infiltrating during the day, alarms won't be a problem if we're discreet. So we need to find non-metallic weapons. I'll tell you what: you create gadgets that can help us with what you find here, and I'll find gadgets that are already made", 'All right, let's get started'. With Noah's words in mind, I began building gadgets. Noah had given me a list of what he was going to take, so I knew what to build. So I built weapons in case we had to fight... although I don't like this aspect of our work. So, I created ice rays for us. The weapon is metal, but you can unfold it. When folded, it's a wooden crate. Once we'd finished building it, Noah showed me what he'd found: "Two interference rings to jam the cameras.", "And?", "And what?", "And what else did you take?", "Nothing.", "Nothing?", "Nothing.", "Why?", "Because when we take a gadget, we're supposed to report it to our boss and explain why. Obviously, given the situation, we shouldn't report it. By taking the minimum, we reduce the risk of certain gadgets disappearing. By the way, I hope you didn't use too many resources on your gadget", 'Uh...', "Well... we can always say it was for training, that's fine. Let's go to bed", "But I'm hungry! So we went back to our quarters, ate and then went to bed before leaving at dawn for the Vipers' base."

Noah's diary

"Sorry Cody...there's no way you're going to be put in danger by me...not a 2nd time. After getting the gadgets, we'd eaten and I put some powerful sleeping pills in Cody's dish. He wouldn't wake up until 12:00. So I woke up at dawn and left discreetly, with the gadgets, of course... including what Cody should have taken. I took one of the Nest's cars (still without authorization, so the boss wouldn't know we were getting close to the Vipers) and drove towards the Vipers' base. Once there, I realized I'd forgotten one detail... the door! It's protected by a digicode and 2 guards. I'd also hacked the map of their base and I know that this is the only way in. So for the time being, I'm hiding, looking at the door and thinking about how to get in... all the while writing in the diary, because I'd better not let Cody find it, decrypt it and find out what I've done. Well... throwing a rock wouldn't be enough as it would distract a guard and wouldn't give me the code. I can't kill the guards either, so I'll have to be discreet. Come on, Noah... think. And think fast, because I can hear the 2 guards saying that a 3rd is finishing his round soon and that the round is ending... behind me. "
