Chapter 14

Bexley

I woke up the next day and started going through my stuff so I knew what to take. I picked books that I loved and moved them to one side, picked outfits I wanted and moved them along with shoes to the left side in the closet, got my makeup packed into a makeup bag, got my shower stuff all gathered and when I was done all I had to do was grab some bags and pack the stuff and leave. I sat around on the sofa reading most of the day until Declan knocked on the door.
"Yeah. Come in." I said annoyed. Declan opened the door as if he was surprised to see me reading.
"Whatcha reading?" He asked with his hands in his pockets. He almost looked guilty of something.
"You ruined me by Sabre Rose." I said with a hint of blame I was pointing at him. He pointed at the back.
"What's that say?" He asked, I knew he meant the short sentences on the back so I turned it over and read it out loud.
"You knew me but I didn't know you. To me you were a stranger. A random person in the crowd. No one. If I could go back, If I knew what I know now, I would have run. But I can't go back. And I didn't know better. Not then. I didn't know you would ruin me. Ruin me with lies.." I was reading then I got cut off.
"Nevermind. I am leaving town, I will be back Monday. Do you need anything until then?" He asked. I shook my head. He stared for a moment as I returned to my book before he left.

A few hours later, Daisy came with dinner and a suitcase and back pack.
"Here's all this, I'll be back in 2 hours. Pack and call Veyron tell him to meet you at Sithan Church at 10:15pm it's a few blocks away. Make sure you take what you want but only what you can carry. Heavy stuff in the suitcase so we can just pull in a long." She said before turning away. First I got the phone and texted Veyron and gave him the info before going to the closet and putting on black leggings and a pair on grey tennis shoes and threw on a grey fuzzy sweater and put my hair up in a pony tail. Then I pulled all of my stuff out packing the books and shoes in the suitcase before packing the clothes. I had to put some in the backpack before adding the shower stuff, makeup and hair tools into the backpack. I pulled the phone out and started looking at houses for sale, I knew I'd need an assistant but wanted it to be somebody I didn't know and doesn't know me.
I knew Veyron would have to drive 40 minutes to get me so I wanted to make it so he wouldnt have to worry bout driving too much. He can pick me up tonight and we can stay in a hotel tonight then I can be on my own and go buy a house monday morning. Declan would expect me to move closer to home so I planned to stay close to town.

I slipped the phone in my pocket and moved the suit case and backpack behind the bed when suddenly there was a soft knock at my door.
"Yeah" I said. Daisy opened the door and slipped in quickly before shutting and locking the door and turning to me.
"Ready to bust this cabbage patch?" She asked with a smile.
"More than"  I said. I didn't even realize how fast the time flew, I hopped up.
"How do I get out?" I asked.
"Give me your phone" she said, I did as she said and she pulled up the church address before handing it back. "Okay put the back pack on and grab the suit case. Hurry we will only have 3 minutes." She said. I did as she said and grabbed my stuff, I didn't even bother to turn back. We moved quickly threw the back of the house, down the staff stairs and out a back door. She hugged me tightly for a second.
"No matter what, do not turn back. Go Bexley." She said quietly and I did as she said. When I got a block away I pulled out the phone walking where it told me too before I got to a parking lot with one car. I squinted my eyes tightly to see it was Veyron, I smiled and pulled the suit case behind me as I approached the car.

Veyron looked up and seen me and his eyes widened in sadness. I'm guessing he seen the bruises on my face from the beating I recieved a few days ago. He jumped out of the car and opened the trunk where I put the back pack and he put the suit case. He went to hug me but I jumped back before stopping myself and hugging him back, we didn't speak any words just hugged for a minute before sliding into the front seats of the car.
"I found a hotel you can take me too. You can stay the night then head back home, Monday I will find somewhere to go." I said quietly. He grabbed my hand in his but kept his eyes on the road.
"Bexley..." He started "What did he do to you?" He asked. I shook my head.
"I'm not ready for that conversation V." I said in a whisper.
"Well I am not going anywhere." He said squeezing my hand. We pulled up to the hotel 10 minutes later.
"Will you be okay here while I run in and get a room?" He asked. I nodded and he disappeared for a few minutes before coming back out. We grabbed our stuff and went upstairs, Veyron had 2 suitcases and a backpack. After we got inside, Veyron turned to me.

"I hope you don't mind there is only one bed but I got the apartment suite for you to be able to have privacy even with me here. You take the bed and I am stealing the couch." He said. I nodded and took my stuff to the bedroom, I started unpacking some stuff before going to the bathroom. The bathroom had a bath and stand up shower with a little sink and toilet. I put my shower stuff, hair tools and makeup on the sink before looking around. There was a bedroom, living room, bathroom, small private kitchen, and a weight room. I decided to go sit with Veyron on the couch.
"How's Em?" I asked. He smiled.
"We are getting married. She misses you." He said which made me smile. We sat in silence for awhile.
"I missed you more." He said with a bigger smile. I nudged him with my shoulder.
"I missed you too. I just wasn't sure if I could trust you or anybody else. Not after Derek." I said.
"I hate that scum bag for what he did. If it were up to me.." He started. "I hope you know I tried to get you some justice. He was hospitalized for weeks."
"Nobody can give me justice for what's been done to me. I just know I will never love or trust like that again." I said quietly. I laid my head on his shoulder as we watched a movie and fell asleep.
