Chapter 15

Veyron

When Bexley fell asleep I carried her to the bedroom and tucked her under the blankets and I went down and got extra bedding. I made myself a bed and made sure there were locks on the windows and door and I placed an extra lock on the door so no one could get in, then I laid down and dozed off. I don't know how long I was asleep, but I woke quickly when I heard Bexley scream. I jumped from the couch and ran to the bedroom but didn't see anybody, I noticed she was still asleep.
"No Declan stop. Somebody help me please." She screamed and sobbed into her pillow as she thrashed in the bed. I ran to her and started to gently wake her.
"Bex it's me. shh. You're okay now. Hey, hey, it's okay. Open your eyes." I said as she started to wake up. She grabbed my shirt tightly and pulled me to her as she sobbed into my chest. I will hurt everyone who's hurt her. She deserves better than this.

There was a knock at the door causing us both to jump.
"Stay here. I'll answer it." I said. I opened the door and saw an old lady.
"Is everyone okay? I heard a girl screaming." She asked.
"Yes, she just had a nightmare. You can come in and check if you want." I said. She dug into her purse quick and then handed me some tea bags.
"Here this will help her." She said with a smile. I smiled back.
"Thank you" Bexley spoke up from behind me with a small smile. The lady nodded and walked away. I shut the door and locked it again before going to make her some tea. When it was done I brought it to her as she sat in a chair by the window just staring out.
"I gotta call Ember back, I missed some calls from her. Do you wanna talk to her?" I asked but she shook her head to tell me no before I left the room. I got my phone out and dialed Ember, when she picked up she sounded worried.
"Hey baby" I said quietly.
"Hey, I was worried. Declan found out Bexley ran away. He's searching everywhere for her." she said. I felt the heat grow from the sound of his name, I hated him. I walked to the weight room before I kept going.

"Listen Em, I don't know what all he did to her but she is in very bad shape. I have never seen anyone like this. I was woken up because she was screaming during a night terror, she has bruises and god knows what else all over her, and she's completely detached. We can not let him or Derek find her." I said.
"Where are you guys? I'm coming. I won't leave her side. You have to go back to work Monday and they'll know how to find you but if they think we are on a weekend vacation due to our engagement or something they'll leave us alone until we get her somewhere to go and I can stay wherever with her instead of doing that little trip to Paris." She said. I love how smart she was. I gave her the info and then hung up before going to check on Bexley.
"Are you okay B?" I asked as I knelt besides her. She stared at her hand and the cup of tea for a bit before looking to me.
"I overheard you talking to Em." she said and I felt terrible knowing she heard me describe her as detached and talk about the bruises and stuff.
"I'm sorry.." I said.

"I want revenge V." She said. "But I need self defense training, time to heal some wounds, and help doing so."
"Anything you need. We will get it." I said as I grabbed her free hand. She nodded.
"He was sweet at first. Then he became a monster." She said quietly as if lost in a memory.
"You should get more sleep. Em is coming in the morning." I said. I turned to leave and give her space but she grabbed my hand so I looked back at her.
"Will you please stay with me tonight?" she asked with tears in her eyes.
"Of course Bex. I'll be right back." I said then I walked out to check the doors and use the bathroom before returning to the bedroom. She was under the blankets crying softly as if to hide it when I came back. I shut the light off and crawled in and pulled her to my chest wrapping my arms around her so she knew I was there for her. It didn't take long and we were both asleep again until my phone went off at 10am waking only me. It was Em so I snuck out of bed trying not to wake Bexley and answered the phone when I reached the living room.

"Good morning babygirl." I said as I answered quietly.
"Good morning handsome I'm headed there, need anything?" She asked.
"Coffee, grab Bexley one too please." I said.
"Of course, how is she doing?" She asked.
"She's doing okay. She asked me to stay with her so I did, I hope that's okay." I said.
"Of course especially if it's as bad as it sounds." She said. I love how understanding she is.
"I love you. Also reach out to your personal trainer see if he can take on Bexley and we need to find her a self defense teacher and also maybe a therapist." I said.
"I will give him a call and find the rest. I love you. See you soon." She said before hanging up. I poked my head in and seen Bexley was still asleep so I showered and ordered breakfast for everyone. Then I pulled out my bag and got out the stuff I brought for Bexley. I had brought her a computer, a new cell phone, some cash, a debit card, paperwork and new identification as I got it all out I placed it on the table and heard the bedroom door open.

"Good morning B" I said with a smile.
"Good morning, thank you for last night." She said quietly.
"Of course." I said. "Em is calling her personal trainer so he can help train you. She can help until he's available. She's also gonna find a self defense specialist. I also told her to find a therapist to help you, I hope that's okay." I said watching her.
"More than okay. Thank you!" She said smiling. I nodded and she went into the bathroom and took a shower. While she was in the shower, Ember arrived and grabbed the laptop to start the search for houses and therapists close to the houses.
"I love you." I said as I watching her work.
"I love you." She said.
"I love you both." Bexley said from the bathroom doorway. She was wearing black jeans shorts, black tank top and a salmon colored cardigan sweater. I felt Ember tense and I had a hot burning anger boiling when we seen the bruises and scars that covered her.
"Can I get your help Ember?" she asked and Ember nodded before going into the bathroom to help her, I wondered what it could be with.
