After that while ordeal, everyone made their way back upstairs and were now standing at the front door, ready to leave.

"Thank you for all you've done for us." Martha said. "You helped out a lot."

"Nah, you can't give us all the credit." Jake said. "But you can give me my girlfriend and sister back."

"Oh, right." Martha said as she realized she was still possessing April.

Suddenly, April's eyes turned back to normal as she had her body back and she fell to her knees. Same with Makayla.

"Are you okay, Light-Bulb?" Douxie asked as he rushed to his sister's side.

"I'm good. . ." Makayla said. "But I do feel a bit queasy."

"What the heck?!" April said, soundings bit angry. "What was that about? Why did I suddenly black out?"

"Sorry, dear." Martha said. "I had to take control of your body to face my ex-husband."

"Oh, I see." April said. "Well, did we win?"

"Well, we're still alive, so I'd say so." Callie said.

"Great." April said, as she looked down at her arm. "Aw man. . . my costume is torn."

"Oh yeah. . . we should probably get you patched up." Donnie said, walking to April's side to tend her wound.

"How are you feeling, Shane?" Gracie asked, turning attention to the black and blue hedgehog.

"I'm alright." Shane said. "Just a little shook."

"Hey, I'm fine as well." Casey said. "I'm here. I exist."

"You all did very well." Martha said. "I'm forever grateful of your help. If it wasn't for you, we'd never be able to stand up to Mark."

"Yeah, I owe you guys for coming here." Marcy said with a smile. "It was fun meeting you. Even if my so-called father wasn't every nice."

"Hey, it's all good." Leo said. "I'm glad we were able to help you out."

"Even if it was mostly you guys." Mikey said. "Sorry I got possessed. I tried to fight it, but-"

"Hey, don't be sorry, Mikey." Raph said. "It's that jerk's fault for using you. I'm just glad you're okay, little brother."

"And what's the best part of it all?" Mikey said. "There's no side effects to being possessed."

As he said that, Makayla suddenly hurled all over the wooden floor, causing everyone to step back.

"Bloody hell. . . are you sure you're okay, Nora?" Douxie asked.

"It's alright." Martha said with a smile. "It's rare to be 100 percent after having your body taken over. Especially by a beginner."

Martha glared over at Marcy when she said that.

"Yeah, sorry." Marcy said with a nervous laugh.

"So, what about you guys?" Jake asked. "What's gonna happen to you now that Mark is gone?"

"Well, I don't know." Martha said. "It's been so long since we've been able to live in the afterlife peacefully."

"So, now. . . I guess you get to finally move on." Jake said. "Now that jerk is gone, you can peacefully pass on for good."

"Now that you mention it, I don't think it was the house binding you guys." Douxie said, coming to a realization. "It was that asshole that kept you here with his presence. You couldn't move on because of the unfinished business you had."
