One Week Later…

Optimus took a sip of the cube in his hand while sitting on the med berth while he observed Ratchet as the medic was running some tests and had given some medication to Azura. The sparkling was recharging at this time as she had tired herself out from fussing over Ratchet as she has gotten to the point where she was irritated with any medical treatment she has required over the last week. She had to remain in the med bay for the last week as she had a couple moments where her spark would weaken suddenly, which has scared the Pit out of Optimus each time it happened, but that has only happened twice over two days. Thankfully, her spark now has shown strength after Ratchet had to change medications and it has resulted in a better response from Azura’s system. Now it seemed Azura could leave the med bay, but she would need to keep a monitor on her so that Ratchet could keep an eye on her system. This irritated Azura, but she would be able to recharge in the comfort of her own berth soon.

And Optimus was happy as her coverings were now ready to apply to her body. They just needed to be stained with the colours she wants for herself, which will not take much to do, and they can put them on her. He was happy as Azura will not be as vulnerable as she was before, and she will be able to express some of her personality through the colours she picks for herself. She has already expressed red as one of them, but he knew she should have a say on what parts will have the colours. So that will be something to talk about when she wakes up next.

Ratchet sighed as he smiled at the results he was reading on the screen and looked at Optimus. “Looks like it was the right thing to do by changing the medication to something else. Her system is looking a whole lot better. I think another month of support to her system, and she should be fine on her own.”

“Good.” Optimus was very relieved to hear that as his spark has ached for his daughter. “I know she dislikes having to be under your care here, and she wants to go to her room, but you have done a good job, Ratchet.” The medic smiled with a nod as he stepped closer to Azura to check the monitor lines briefly before walking away. “But at least now she can voice her opinion.”

“Oh yeah…as soon as she started talking four days ago, she has certainly been making up for last time. Ha, it makes me think that when she starts walking around within a couple days, she will be keeping us all on our toes.” Optimus smirked with a raised eyebrow as he knew that could happen, but not while he was around. He knew Azura will behave, so he doubted that would happen. Ratchet knew that too. “Though she may only do that when you are not looking, Optimus.”

Optimus shrugged as he glanced at his daughter and looked back at Ratchet. “Perhaps. It isn’t unusual for sparklings to push boundaries, and Azura has done so already in the past. And now that her mind has regressed, I am expecting that to occur some more. However, she already has endured my disappointment when she has done something that I told her not to do. And I highly doubt she will like it if I have to give a consequence for her actions.”

“Even I myself would not like it, and I am not even a sparkling anymore.” Ratchet himself would certainly respond to Azura with consequences should she do anything while he was present. “At least she should still hold some maturity, since Azura isn’t stupid. She still has all of her memories and wisdom that she has gained, so while she might have regressed mentally, she will still have the right mind to do the right thing.”

Optimus nodded in agreement. “Yes, I also agree.” His expression softened some as he thought about Megatron briefly as he knew she will think of him as well. “Though…some of her memories I do wish she did not have. But we cannot change that. Especially since she had to endure feeling and hearing what Mech had done to me, and in turn, to her.”
