The house finally felt at peace. The walls didn't feel like they were closing in anymore. The tension, from fear and stress, was finally lifted. I no longer had any visions of anybody here dying. The voices have ceased.

I looked around at everyone. Rio and Agatha collapsed on the couch, Alice sitting on the stairs with her head in her hands, and Liz was no where to be seen.
Slowly, I walked up to my sister. "How are you feeling?" She had never been tied down like that before, never at such a disadvantage.

Her eyes locked with mine. "I'm good." She nodded, looking over to Agatha. "We are good."

"Just a slight headache." Agatha snickered, leaning her body into my sister's. "But we are okay nonetheless." She smiled up at me.

I walked away, heading towards the dining room. "Who knew my girlfriend was a gun fanatic." I said, leaning against the wall behind her. Lilia turned to look at me. "I mean, you took out those guys with ease. It was kind of hot." I shrugged, moving to sit next to her.

She rolled her eyes at my comment, a small smile tugging at her lips. "I've been alive a long time dear, you learn some things." Her hand reached out to mine, squeezing it tightly. "I am glad everything worked out, and that we're all okay."

"Me too." Knowing everyone was safe now, and we had nothing to worry about, it was a nice feeling. "I don't know what I would've done if something had happened to any of you guys, especially you." The fear I felt when my sister got grabbed, it would've been 10x worse if it had been Lilia in her position.

As my mind wandered, Lilia brought me back with a squeeze of my hand. "We're okay though." She reassured me. "Nothing bad happened and we all lived. Don't worry about the 'what ifs' right now." She was right, there's no point in dwelling on what could've happened, especially not when we are all okay.

"I'm gonna go check on the others." I got up and walked to the stairs, standing just in front of Alice. "How are you feeling?" I asked, sitting down next to her.

She sighed heavily before responding. "I'm okay. Just worried about Liz." She responded, raking her fingers through her hair.

"What's wrong with Liz?" I hadn't seen her since the fight. She had come inside and just disappeared.

"She's in our room, but she won't let me in." She looked over to me, her eyes brimming with shed tears. "I don't know what I did wrong." She sighed, looking away again.

"I'll go check on her." I replied, standing back up again.

"Thank you." Alice said, scooting over so I could slide past.

I walked upstairs and straight to their room. My ear pressed against the door, but I couldn't hear anything. "Liz?" I called out, trying the door but it wouldn't budge. "Elizabeth? Are you okay?" I pushed my body against the wood, trying to force the door open. "Liz?" I felt my heart pick up at the lack of response. Sure, I could be over reacting but she could've done something in her state of shock. She could've hurt herself, or worse. "Liz I'm coming in." I said, before slamming my body against the door.

It shot open, my eyes immediately scanning the room. Elizabeth sat in the corner, her knees pressed to her chest and her arms wrapped tightly around them. She looked up at me for a moment before averting her gaze.

I slowly walked over to her, not wanting to scare her or anything. "How are you feeling?" I crouched down to her height and placed a hand on her shoulder for support. Her body was shaking.

She was silent for a moment, thinking over her response. "I'm okay." Liz replied looking at me, a small smile gracing her lips. "I'm just shocked that I'm free. That it's finally over." Her voice faltered as tears began to stream down her face.

Instinctively, I wrapped my arms around her and brought her to my chest. "Shh." I ran my hand along her back softly. "You're free honey. You are not going back." Her hand clutched my shirt tighter, as if she was afraid this was a dream; some false reality.

A knock sounded on the door behind me, the sound of it closing following shortly after. "Hey..." Alice whispered, crouching down next to me.
Liz detached from my body almost instantly, wrapping herself around Alice. "It's okay." Alice whispered, holding Liz tight. I heard Alice sigh in relief, probably happy that she hadn't upset Liz in any way.

Silently, I stood up and crept out of the room. I didn't wanna intrude, and I've already done my part in comforting her.
I re-entered the living room, my sister and Agatha no longer there. "Is Liz okay?" Lilia asked from her spot in the couch, simultaneously patting the spot next to her.

"Yeah." I replied, coming to sit down beside her. "But even if she wasn't, she has Alice." Anyone could see it. The bond they have, the emotion they share. Whether they noticed or not, everyone else has.

Lilia sighed and leaned her head against my shoulder. "Even if things were hard or dangerous, I'm glad everything has played out how it did." Her one hand came up to play with the hem of my shirt. "If it didn't, I wouldn't have met you and I wouldn't be where I am right now."

"We would've found each other eventually." I do believe in fate. I believe everything does happen for a reason. I also know Lilia is my person and we were meant to find each other. "You are my person Lilia. We would've found each other no matter what."

"I love you." She whispered in response, clutching my shirt tight.

"I love you too." The words rolled off my tongue with ease. Whether I had known her five seconds or five years, the words would stand true. I love her, and I always will.

A/N: I'm sorry for such a late and short update. I've had an extremely busy month and genuinely just don't have the free time to write anymore. I will try and find a schedule again, but I can make no promises.

Happy new year, stay safe<3
