Chapter 19
FUTURESirius:
Nasa labas na ako. Huwag kang magmadali.
I saw him outside the gate, trying to peek inside. Ngumiti ako at pinagbuksan siya. His face lit up when he saw me. He looked so handsome with his plain rounded shirt and black long trouser.
"Good morning, yor. Merry Christmas!" he greeted and handed me a paper bag. "Regalo ko..."
"Thank you, Sirius. Merry Christmas din. Gusto mo bang pumasok muna at kumain?"
Umiling siya. "Hindi na, yor. Hindi rin ako pwedeng magtagal."
"Ganoon ba?"
My eyes widened when I saw a little standing statue of a cute girl and a cute boy— holding hands together. It was made of thin and hard wood.
My lips parted. I checked it more and realized that we have our names engraved on the chest part. I think he sculptured it manually! By himself!
Mangha kong sinalubong ang tingin niya. He smiled shyly while I was so amazed of how effortful his give is!
"Did you... made this by yourself?"
He licked his lower lip and smiled. "Nagustuhan mo ba?"
I nodded a lot of times. Namamangha ako sa puntong hindi ako makapagsalita.
I looked down on the little statue again and noticed that it has a little on and off switch underneath it. I slided it gently and the little bulb inside suddenly lit up!
It was so beautiful! How... how did he sculptured this?
"Sirius," my lips trembled, very astounded. "Thank you. Ang ganda. Sobrang ganda..."
What makes it more special to me is that... the statue was us. The statue was made by him— his strength, effort, skill, intelligence and heart were all involved.
I swallowed hard. I stared at the statue while it's lit up— at first, the light was steady until it flicker. My eyes widened.
"Kumukuti-kutitap siya!" namamangha kong usal.
Sirius chuckled.
I don't think I can let everyone touch it.
"Thank you," I swallowed hard again.
"I will take care of this. I will display this in my room. I will keep this forever with me."
Namungay ang mga mata niya. "Talaga?"
