KYOUKO HOTEL
The sound of footsteps echoes softly as Brina and Hiromi approach Room 24.
The male crew member knocks a few times, a hint of anticipation hanging in the air.
After a moment, the door creaks open, revealing a stunning woman with long, straight black hair and pale skin. She stands tall with an air of grace and confidence.
The beautiful woman miling warmly.
" Yokoso, Hiromisan." The girl said. Lumingon ito kay Brina na may ngiti sa labi. "And you must be Brina, the one I’ve heard so much about."
Brina blinks in admiration, momentarily stunned by the girls beauty.
" Brina, this is Miss Kyouko."
BRINA blushed slightly. "I-It’s an honor to meet you, Miss Kyouko."
Kyouko gestures for them to enter the room, her expression shifting to one of business.
"Please, come in. We have much to discuss."
They step inside, and Kyouko closes the door behind them. The room is elegantly decorated, with soft lighting creating a warm atmosphere.
A lavish living room with a large, plush sofa.
Kyouko sits across from Brina and Hiromi.
Kyouko leaned forward. "Brina, Hiromi and I have discussed it, and I think you both need to sit down for this."
Brina and Hiromi settle onto the luxurious sofa, glancing at each other nervously.
Kyouko suddenly became serious.
"Brina, I’m glad you’re here because Hiromi has finally succeeded in bringing us a pure girl."
"Pure girl? What do you mean, Ate Hiromi? What’s going on?"- nagtatakang tanong ng dalaga sa kaibigan ng tita niya na ngayon ay di makatinginnsa kaniyang mga mata.
"Let me introduce myself first. I’m Ricca Kyouko, soon to be the wife of one of Japan's wealthiest men, Xin Ryuta." Nabalik ang atensyon ni Brina sa boses ng babaeng nasa harapan niya-si Ricca Kyouko.
Brina stunned.
"Si Xin Ryuta.. Laging nababalita sa pinas na pinakamayaman dito sa Japan?" Mahinang tugon nito na narinig ni Ricca.
Kyouko nodded. "Yes, that’s him. Hiromi was tasked with finding a healthy single woman from the Philippines."
Brina is trying to grasp the situation. "I don’t understand... What does being single have to do with any of this? And what does this have to do with me being a maid?"
"You’re not here to be a maid." Ricca paused. "You’re here because you will become the surrogate mother."
Brina’s expression shifts from confusion to disbelief.
" What? No! This can't be happening! Ate Hiromi naman, you knew about this? You lied to me!" Brina's voice raised.
Hiromi still looking down, guilt clear on her face. "I… I didn’t want to tell you. Kasi alam kong, Hindi ka papayag." Umangat ng mukhansi Hiromi at mangiyak ngiyak na tinitigan sa mata ang dalagang si Brina. "Brina, may tumor sa utak ang papa. Alam kong wala kang idea, pero kailangan ko ng malaking halaga, sana maintindihan mo ginagawa ko to dahil kailangan na kailangan ko."
"Maintindihan? How could I possibly understand being used like this?"
Nanginginig na ang boses na tugon ng dalaga.
" Brina, you have to see the bigger picture. If you don't agree, I can’t marry Xin. His family has no idea that I can’t have children. My fiance, he have no idea how I struggled so much! I can't bear his child. Please, help me."
"But this is my life! You can’t just decide my fate because of your needs!"
Kyouko's voice firm. "I know it’s not an easy choice, but you will be compensated generously if you agree. I promise."
" Generously? So you think money can just erase my rights?" Nilingon ni Brina ang ngayo'y umiiyak na si Hiromi. "Alam ba to ni tita ??" Pero di siya sinagot nito.
"Ate alam ba to ni tita?!"
Umangat ng mukha si Hiromi at umiiyak na tumango. At dun na bumagsak ang mga luha ng dalaga.
"This is an opportunity for you too—think of what this could mean for your life." Naririnig ni Brina ang patuloy na nagsasalitang si Ricca.
"But what about the emotional implications? Can I really just be a vessel?"
"No one is saying it’ll be easy, but think about your future. You’d never have to worry about anything again. Just… consider it."
"I feel so betrayed right now." Ani Brina habang humihikbi.
There’s a moment of silence as Brina struggles with her thoughts.
Hiromi reaches for Brina’s hand, but she pulls away, feeling the weight of the decision ahead of her.
"I need to think… this is all too much." Brina whispered.
The tension in the room hangs heavy as Brina looks away, lost in her own conflicted thoughts.
