Hey everyone! I just wanted to take a moment to share some thoughts as we move forward in the ending of this story. First off, I appreciate your patience and support as I work through these chapters. I'm taking my time to finish this, and while it may not be perfect, I've come to realize that there's no such thing as a flawless ending. Far from it actually.

As we continue, you'll see Declan embark on a new journey to find someone who is more suited for the role of Luna. It's clear that Lucille isn't the right fit for him, but that doesn't diminish the connection they had. She has said from day one she won't be Luna and I truly feel like she isn't suited for that role. She's meant to be wild and free.

Also, I'm considering revisiting some earlier chapters to reshape Leo's character. I want to present him in a way that reflects the complexities of his experiences in this world, perhaps showing him as affected and misunderstood rather than purely abusive. The spirit world sorta ''heals'' him, because he belongs there. Just like how Lucille belongs there and is more sane in the spirit world, because admit it, our girl isn't quite sane ripping people's hearts out lol.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me! Your feedback and understanding mean a lot. Because of it I'm learning a lot! :) I do still am happy and proud of in turned out! There's one more chapter left and then two bonus chapters. I'll try updating every two to three days!

Declan's pov

I had come to visit Pedro, but the moment I stepped inside, a tantalizing scent wafted through the air, drawing me toward the kitchen like a moth to a flame. It was rich and savory, a promise of comfort that pulled at my stomach.

I made my way down the hall, the sound of my footsteps echoing softly against the wooden floors. As I entered the kitchen, I was greeted by the sight of Inara, who was bustling around the counter, her focus on a pot that simmered gently on the stove. The aroma of whatever she was cooking was even more enticing up close.

"Inara," I called, leaning against the doorframe. "Where's your father?"

She turned, a bright smile lighting up her face. "Hey, Alpha! He had to step out for a meeting. There are rogues in the area, so he went to check it out. You just missed him by a minute or two, but he should be back soon."

I nodded, feeling a twinge of disappointment that I wouldn't get to speak with Pedro right away, but the delicious scent made it hard to linger on that thought. "It smells incredible in here," I said, my stomach grumbling in agreement.

Inara chuckled softly. "Thanks! I'm just making some chicken soup. Do you want to taste it?"

"Chicken soup?" I raised an eyebrow, playfully skeptical. "I've never smelled chicken soup that smells this good before. What's your secret?"

She rolled her eyes, a teasing smile playing on her lips. "Well, don't tell him I said this, but I might have inherited some of my cooking skills from my dad. Just don't let him know!"

I laughed, genuinely enjoying this light moment. "Your secret is safe with me."

As I settled into a chair at the kitchen table, Inara poured a generous bowl of the steaming soup, the rich aroma wafting up to greet me. She filled a small bowl for herself, her movements fluid and confident.

"Here you go!" she said, sliding the bowl toward me with a proud smile.

I took a sip, savoring the warm broth that enveloped my senses. "Wow, this is amazing! You've definitely got a knack for this."

Inara's eyes sparkled with joy at my praise. "Thanks, Alpha! I've been practicing. It's a simple recipe, but I like to add my own twist to it. A little extra garlic, some herbs—"
