Gabriela (POV):
"Do you have everything you need?" Jenny asked as I finished packing up my things.
"I think so but Jen I need to talk to you about something." I sighed, I thought about keeping my secret to myself but now that I knew Aurora knew, I figured I could confide in someone else.
"What did you need to talk about Gabs? You know you can tell me anything right?" Jenny said as she slid across my bed to sit next to me.
"I need to talk to you about Storm..." I hesitated as Jenny's expression became unreadable.
"What's going on with Storm?" She questioned as worry spread across her face.
"Nothing, I just need you to keep an eye on her while I'm gone." Jenny's eyes looked like they were trying to find the truth behind my eyes.
"Just tell me what's going on Gabs, you are making me nervous." She said crossing her arms across her chest.
"Sorry nothing is actually going on, it's just that well she's my mate...." I waited as Jenny began to process my words.
"You're telling me that my 16 year old grand daughter is your mate?" Jenny just stared at me with wide eyes.
"Yeah she is..." I mumbled.
"She knows doesn't she? I mean she's not a Lycan." Jenny said in disbelief.
"Of course she knows Jenny and before you say anything nothing intimate has ever happened between us. You know I'd never cross that line right?" I knew where their minds would go once they found out we were mates.
"Why didn't you tell us? We know you can't control who your mate is, I mean look at Delta and Logan."
"Yeah you're right I just felt kind of ashamed that she is so young. I just want you to know that the feelings I've had with her up until very recently have been more of the protector kind. Only recently has she brought up wanting to explore our connection on more of an intimate level. I shut that down however given her age versus my own age." I explained hoping to put to bed any of the concerns Jenny had.
"Honestly I can't imagine how it would feel to find your mate in someone so young. I'm sorry that you felt like you couldn't tell us. Are you going to speak to Aria and Alex about it?" I could tell she knew I didn't want to talk to them about it even though I knew I had to.
"I figured I would talk to the four of them as a group before I leave." A soft knock at my door put a pause on our conversation.
"Doors unlocked!" I called out, the door swung open revealing a frantic looking Storm.
"I don't want you to go...." Storm whispered as her body collided with mine.
Jenny watched from the side, a smile tugged at the corner of her lips as she watched our interaction. Storm still hadn't realized that Jenny was in the room. She buried her face into my neck and her arms wrapped around my shoulders. Her body was shaking slightly and I could feel my shirt become wet with her tears.
"I won't be gone for long mi amada" I whispered into her hair.
"Well aren't you two just the sweetest" Jenny chuckled causing Storm to jerk back slightly.
"Don't tease her" I scolded Jenny as I pulled Storm closer to me.
"She knows?" Storm whispered barely loud enough for me to hear her.
"She does, I was actually going to speak with your parents before I left."
"You might not have to wait long" Storm mumbled as she took a step back from the embrace.
