Aurora (POV):

"It's about Jayden...." I hesitated for a moment.

"What about her?" I could tell by the tone of Dylan's voice that her curiosity just peeked.

"She may or may not be my mate..." I said quickly trying not to make eye contact with anyone.

"What do you mean may or may not be? She either is or she isn't." Dylan's voice had gone up a few octaves.

"Dill she's obviously Aurora's mate" Alex said rolling her eyes.

"Now the real question is why you kept it hidden from us all these years?" Ivy narrowed her eyes as she stared me down.

"I thought I was protecting her..." I whispered.

"Vivian's army had just killed your father, Ivy and Astrid had just been rescued. I thought that me being her mate might put even more of a target on her back. She already had a target on her back the second she was born. I didn't want to give anyone more of a reason to hurt her." Tears began to run down my face as I buried my head into my hands.

"Rory..." The nickname Dylan had given me always brought a smile to my face regardless of how upset I was.

"I'm sorry you felt like you couldn't mention it to us. But we would never be angry that you are Jayden's mate. I'm just surprised that's all, it does make sense now looking back on it. Jay always did smile the most when you held her." A tear ran down Dylan's face as she spoke about her daughter.

"I just... with everything going on I felt like I needed to protect her and that was the best way I knew how. I'm used to hiding, I'm good at it. Hiding our bond felt like the only way I could keep her safe. So when I tell you I need to do this I mean it. I need to find her and if that means walking into a trap then so be it." My fists clenched as I spoke, Dylan must have noticed me clenching my hands because she made her way towards me.

"We aren't going to stop you, we've just always felt guilty putting this kind of pressure on you." Dylan said as she rested a hand on my shoulder.

"I never felt like you or your family ever pressured me to do anything. Everything I've done for you guys has always been because I wanted to not because I felt obligated to." A small smile played at the corner of my lips as I looked up at Dylan.

"Well that makes me feel better we were always worried that we were pushing you too hard. I mean out of everyone you have put in the most time and effort to find our daughter. I'm not sure I can even express how much it has meant to my family and I." Dylan said as she made her way back to her spot between her mates.

"Dill is right you've literally crossed the world to help find our daughter." Ivy's eyes held so much love in them as she spoke.

"Are you really going to find our sister?" Storm cut in.

It was the first time I had heard her speak. She was the second youngest of the Avery girls. Out of all the girls she seemed to be the most reserved. The younger girl seemed to quietly observe everything going on around her. Unlike her siblings who tended to be more vocal.

"I'm going to do everything in my power to bring her home" I held Storms gaze as I spoke.

Jenny (POV):

"F-fuck!" I groaned as I took my lower lip between my teeth.

"Quiet Darling" Astrid whispered against my ear, her warm breath sent shivers throughout my body.

"H-how am I s-supposed to quiet when y-your co-" Astrid clapped a hand over my mouth before I could finish.

"Do you really want Harley to walk in on us again?" Astrid raised a brow as I shook my head.
