𝐃𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐋𝐒 𝐒𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐄 ☆ 𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐧

Pt 9

i saw lie lift her arm out and lifted something through the hole waiting for someone to take it from her, "that's not gold" I could hear pope say disappointed, she climbed out and stood beside them all looking down at the old fedex envelope with the writing 'for bird and book' those were the nicknames our dad gave us randomly, I honestly don't know what bird means but he used to call me book cause I could never get my head out of one, I looked up to John b and gave him a big smile.

"Holy shit, this is from our dad" he told us all, I could see everyone's face light up, as weird as this was almost like our dad sent us on a treasure hunt I still didn't believe he was still alive.

"Code red. Code red. Square groupers! Square groupers!" JJ began shouting, I turned to where he was looking and I could see a car slowly driving up, "shit" I said to myself and started running, "go." Kie shouted.

"It's the guys who robbed your house" JJ said to me and John b but none of us replied to him, we all started running behind a big tomb, "do you think it's them?" Kie asked us, we all peeped around the corner to see a little golf carts,

"Homies got a gun" JJ said and sounded a little but scared,

"Screw this" I sighed and began running towards where we parked the Twinkie, I was guessing they all thought the same thing as I could hear them running behind me, who ever was in the golf carts were also chasing us though.

We made it to a huge wall that we all had to hop somehow, I tried slipping my foot into a crack in the wall and pull myself up from there but i just fell straight back down, I went to try again but felt a hand on my waist, I gazed down behind me to see JJ holding me by the waist, "keep climbing and I'll push you up" he told me, I trusted him and began doing what he said so,

After we all got over we began running for the Twinkie, but of course Pope had gotten himself stuck in the fence, I began laughing and JJ went to shoot the fence with him gun, I looked at him and rolled my eyes "put that shit down seriously" I shook my head and he done what I told him,

Kiara helped pope get down by pulling him but it ended up ripping his whole shorts off, "nice! Come on dude" Jj laughed a little, "it's a little tootsie roll." He added on,

Me and kiara ran beside each other laughing our heads off as we watched Pope waddle to the van,

"Get in!" John b shouted and we all hoped in,

I looked over to pope and he couldn't have looked more embarrassed, I began laughing a bit more as we started driving.

When we finally made it back to the chateau JJ went straight to get food, I followed him into the kitchen to watch "that bread had mole on it three days ago, you do realise?"I pointed at the bread JJ was smearing with peanut butter,

"I'll just pull off the bad parts. Plus, mild is good for you. It's just a natural organism" he told me, I giggled a little and watched him, I feel like I've always had feelings for JJ ever since I met him, but I just don't think I've figured out what the feelings are,

"JJ, Meg come" kie shouted over at us, I turned and looked at her John b and pope all gathered around each other, me and JJ quickly made our way over.

"Hot damn, let's do this" JJ said while watching John b open the envelope, I could hear gagging and looked up to see JJ almost getting sick because of the bread, "told you" I mouthed over to him and he spitted it out.

John b pulled out a piece of paper and started un folding it, it was a map with lodes of coordinates written around it,

"Holy shit" I gasped, "oh. X marks the spot" Pope said while pointing at the big x drawn on it, "longitude, latitude." John b said while running his hands over the map,

I looked at the envelope and noticed it was still full, "wait, there's somethin' else in here" I said while grabbing it and pulling a tape recorder out, "what is that?" Jj asked

"It's a tape recorder, dumbass" kie rolled her eyes,

I looked at it for a second before pressing the side button,

"Dear bird and book" it began saying,

"Who's bird and book?" JJ laughed and we looked up to him, "that's what our dad called us" John b said looking up at me but my attention went back to the tape recorder as it began speaking again,

"I hate to say "I told yous so" but I told yous so. And yous doubted your old man, I suspect at this moment,  your filled with guilt and self-loathing over our last fight guys, but don't kill your selves just yet. I didn't expect to find the royal merchant either. You're probably right to call me out, wasn't exactly father of the decade. What can I say, I could smell the barn. And hopefully we're listening to this in our brand new sugar-shack down in Costa Rica, livin off passive investments and pulling on permits. If not, and yous find this for less than optimal reasons, well, that's what the map is for. There she is, the wreck of the merchant. If something happens to me, finish what I started guys. Go for the gold, I love you bird, book, even if I didn't always act like it. I'll see yous on the other side"

The tape recorder stopped, a horrible feeling grew in the back of my throat as I tried my hardest not to cry but I couldn't handle it, I slammed the tape recorder down and pulled myself up with tears escaping my eyes, I ran into my bed room before anyone could say anything to me,

I know it was awful of me to not believe he's still alive but that doesn't mean I don't love him, John b sometimes started fights with me over it saying I didn't love him and shit, but hearing his voice, after that long was terrible, and I just wanted to sit here and cry in his arms but I couldn't, he was gone, and he was gone for sure I could feel it.
