It had been over two weeks since Imogen Seagrave and Sirius Black kissed. Potions class had been awkward, all Imogen wanted to do was speak to Sirius, tell him she liked him, and tell him what was going on. But something inside her was practically screaming and telling not to. Each day stretched on made and it only made Imogen feel worse, her mind was like a battle, she was always conflicted on what to do. Despite Peter Pettigrew telling her to speak to their friend, Sirius and Imogen still spent classes sitting in silence, only speaking when necessary.

Imogen wanted to go sit with someone else and escape the awkward feeling, though everyone seemed to already have a partner, and Marlene was too distracted with Joe to notice Imogen. That was basically how it was with everyone in the group. James noticed Imogen's shift from being super happy to just depressed only a day after she received the letter, though he hadn't done anything about it due to his new relationship he was building with Lily. Remus and Mary weren't close enough with Imogen to notice, so that just left Peter, the only one who actually tried to cheer her up.

Imogen sat in the darkest classroom in the dungeons, the potion classroom, her eyes locked on the page of notes she wasn't even reading. As much as Imogen wanted to do something else, crack a joke with Sirius, or do something stupid, she decided just to behave. Her parents had the power, and if she did something stupid again, who knows what they would do—they had already ruined her love life! From next to her, she could feel Sirius' curious gaze locked on her. The boy thought he knew everything about Imogen—he had been there when she kissed a Slytherin girl in third year and then regretted it—she didn't ice out the girl out or ignore her, so why was she doing that to him?

Sirius had thought it over and over again—yeah, he had kissed many girls and never spoken to them again, but never had they been his best friends, and never had he been in the situation where he was ignored. "Imogen," the name slipped from his mouth—he didn't mean to actually say it. Imogen could hear the hurt in his voice, and it almost made her heart break, but she couldn't talk to him, she just needed at least until the summer to think things through and deal with her new future.
