Oliver:

I was sitting in the foundry thinking about what to do now. I tried my hardest to save this city and failed, my mother isn't the woman I thought she was. My best friend Tommy thinks I'm a monster, and Laurel...well, she knows my secret and I never wanted that. If I was to be happy as Oliver Queen, I needed her to be safe and far away from this. I turn around after I hear the sounds of clicking heels down the stairs.
"Oliver? I thought you would be with Laurel. You know she woke up, right?" Felicity asked.
"Yes, I know. I'm just not sure what to say. She knows I'm the 'Hood'. Look how tommy has taken it. If I lose her too, Oliver is gone," I replied. I don't know why, but I can always open up to Felicity without any worries of judgment.
"You know we are going to have to work on your definition of 'Secret Identity'," she joked. I was not amused.
"I hate that I have to break it to you, but Oliver is already gone, at least the one you were before the island. I didn't know that guy but he is not the person that returned. It's pretty obvious that Laurel likes the man you are now. So go give her a chance to see that you aren't a monster but a hero! Don't worry, Tommy will come around. He just might need a little longer since you had to put his father down," Felicity stated. She put her coat and bag on the desk and went to work on the computer.
I grabbed my jacket to go see Laurel. Looking back at Felicity, I realized that she is the only person I know that calls me a hero. Digg...he doesn't think I'm a monster, but he never said that I was a hero.

Walking into the hospital, I don't need to stop at the reception desk. I already know where Laurel's room is. I walk in to see her father and Tommy standing over her. She looks the same but a little different. She looks at the serious tone in my eyes and asks Detective Lance and Tommy to give us some privacy.
"Ollie, before you say anything, I get it. I'm not upset, I just wish you would have told me. You know I could never hate you. In fact, I can help you," she said.
"What? NO." I resisted.
"Think about it! I'm a lawyer, I know the laws! I can help you do what you do, and stay off of my father's radar. And don't say that I can't because I'll get hurt, because I didn't know before and look, I'm still in the hospital hurt," she demanded.
"Ok," I said reluctantly, "but Laurel when I'm the "Hood" I'm not your boyfriend, my word is rule. You'll need to remember that." I told her.
"Understood. I'll be discharged soon. Afterwards, I'll come meet you at your house."
"No, just come to Verdant. Call me when you get there," I said as I walked out of her room.
When I get back to the foundry I hear noises coming from downstairs. I see Diggle and Felicity training. This is such a weird sight. I've never seen her in anything other than her office attire, and I also had no idea she was training. I stand on the top of the stairs for a while watching. She's not bad. I mean, she needs to learn how to throw a punch with her weight behind it but she is a natural.
"Hey guys, what's going on here?" I asked, pretending I was watching my team practice.
"While I'm running updates on the system, Digg has been training me. I hope that's ok."
"Of course, but Felicity you'll never be in the field to use it."
"I never said it was for the 'Field'," she stated, and grabbed her coat and bag. "Wait, Felicity, I need to tell you two something and it can't wait." Diggle looked at me and shook his head. She turned around, arms crossed, and looked at me with big eyes that said 'What?' without actually saying it.
"So I talked to Laurel and she's not angry or upset, but she demanded that she will be helping the 'Hood' now," I tell them and wait for a reaction. Felicity just turned around and left.
"What did I do now?" I asked Dig.
"Well you just made it clear that Felicity will never be in the field and now you're bringing in Laurel, who we assume won't be in the field either. I'm betting our Miss Smoak is feeling like she is being phased out of the team," he answered.
"That's ridiculous, we could never replace Felicity," I told him.
"I know that but she doesn't, Oliver," he pointed out.
I turn and go upstairs to catch her so I can ease her mind. I get to the club floor and see her sitting at the bar talking with Tommy. I call her name and she holds her finger up as if to say 'one minute'. What could she and Tommy be talking about that is more important than me? I stand there for a couple minutes before I call her name again. She looks at me, stands up and faces him again, saying something I can't hear, then puts her hand on his arm, smiles, and walks right past me. After seeing that, a heatwave of anger runs through my entire body.
