Chapter 15

Oliver:

I arrive at the Queen mansion and the entire house is dark, which for most homes is normal but there is always staff in the house so light are always on. I walk up to the front door where there is a note posted.

Attention Queen Staff,

Today is employee appreciation day; please all go home and relax.

Did Thea give them the day off? I push the door open and hit the light switch but nothing, the house is still dark. I see a small dim glow from the rec room. I hear a man calling my name. I enter the room the tv is on and white noise is on the screen photos start flashing across the screen picture of Thea, my mother, Laurel, and Tommy keep circulating threw the male voice returns "Mr. Queen you think your family can destroy this city with no consequences? If your mother is not found guilty next week we the protectors of Starling will see to it that this family you've built is taken away like it has taken so many away from theirs with your earthquake machine." all the light came back on in the house and the tv shut off. I reached for my phone to call Dig and Felicity, when I saw that is was three am and we all would need to be at the office in four hours. I decided I would wait till after to work to show them the video.

I arrived at QC around eight o'clock, Felicity was waiting for me at the elevator. "Oliver I got your message I have called an emergency meeting, the board with be here around ten" She informed me. My office door flew open and in came Isabel in her heels and furry. "Mr. Queen we are equal partners, why did you think you could call an emergency meeting without me finding out?" She demanded to know. "Mrs. Rochev if you go back to your computer you will find an email, the same email that was sent to the rest of the board informing you about the meeting." Felicity made her aware. "Weren't you on vacation for two weeks?" She questioned before storming out of my office. Felicity turned her head and smiled at me and returned to her desk. I finally take a seat at my desk and without fail there sits a muffin and coffee.

I sit at my desk returning emails and preparing for this meeting. Around 9:30 I call felicity into my office. "Yes boss?" "Would you mind getting the room ready for the meeting please?" She went through the two glass doors in my office the connected it with a large meeting room.

Mr. Palmer walks out of the elevator and right into my office. "Mr. Queen you ready to do this?" He questioned. Felicity walked back into the office. "Felicity?" "Ray?! Oh is this the opportunity from last night?" Last night? I wonder to myself. "You two know each other?" I asked. "Oh kind of, we met last night at Verdant; Ray saved me from having to dance from a very aggressively drunk man." Felicity explained. "Well that was nice of you Mr. Palmer." I said. "So the meeting starts in about ten minutes Felicity can you show Ray to the alternative entrance. Ray if you don't mind waiting there until I explain to the board what's going on" I added. They both agreed. The board was seated and Isabel had just demanded to know what going on.

"Well Isabel it came to my attention that both of our shares we put for sale were bought and I thought it would good for us all to meet. Felicity if you could." I stated. She walked over to the entrance held the door and in walk Ray. "Hello I'm Ray Palmer and I'm here to help bring QC back to is glory." with a laugh and evil smirk Isabel responded with "That nice Mr. Palmer but what kind of power do you think you'll have with only owning two percent of the company?" "Well actually Mr.Rochev I'm the majority stock holder. You see while I was buying the 2 percent that was for sale I made a deal with Mr. Queen to also buy his other 49 percent making me own 51 percent of QC and you only owning 49 so I guess that makes me your boss!" He informed her.

"Mr. Queen can you please explain what is going on here?" Asked Mr.Blakley a board member. "Of Couse" I said "Mr. Palmer who has much more capital then QC at the moment and has agree you come on as the primary shareholder until we get back to the status it was before the quake, at that time we will buy the rest of the share back. With his help I believe we can make this company better than what it was before, He is a great business mind and we can benefit from him help" I added. "So Mr. Palmer you'll be the acting CEO of this company until you see fit?" Mr. Blakley asked. "Yes as soon as this company's revenue is what it was or better for a fiscal quarter I will sell my shares back." Palmer answered. "LEAVING OLIVER THE MAJORIY SHAREHOLDER?!" Isabel blurted out in anger. "Guess that would" Ray said with a smirk.

After a few more questions from other board member the meeting was over. Isabel sat quietly in her seat frozen in shock I'm sure. Felicity, Ray, and I were gathered in my office, I go to my desk to finish an email I started before the meeting. Like a gust of wind Isabel comes rushing out of the board room. "This is not over Oliver, you think just because he is the... the CEO that I'm going to step down, well you've got another thing coming." she stated and left the room. Palmer looked to me "Well that's going to be fun" he said with a laugh. I shrugged my shoulder with a grin and returned to my work. He and Felicity exit my office. About ten minutes have passed I look up and see Felicity stand and the Elevator with Palmer, he enters is she wait till the doors close, with a smile she turns and does a little dance with her hands.

I go out to her "You seem excited" I said. "Oh Oliver you seen that, sometimes I forget that these walls are glass. Yes I am excited Ray just asked me to dinner." She informed me. "What happened to Barry?" I asked regretting it as soon as it came out of my mouth. "He and I are just friends. Do you mind if I leave a little early?" She asked with those beautiful wide eyes and a smile so big it could melt your heart. "Sure you should be on Vacation anyway. Felicity if you get a chance could you come by Verdant there is something I would like to show you and Dig." "Oliver if you need me I can reschedule." She told me. "No No it's not that important just stop by when you can" I said leaving and returning to my desk. Felicity finishes up her work at her desk and quickly rushes to the elevator to go be with Palmer.
