The entire situation had stressed Seokjin out. He was sad that the dinner he had arranged was ruined. The twins had comforted him by telling him that it was alright. They also promised to visit him the next day to make it up to Seokjin. Seokjin thanked Taylor for helping them whenever they needed her. After getting extra medication from her, he was about to leave when he heard Namjoon talking to Aj and Jj. He didn't want to eavesdrop, but he couldn't help himself.

"... get everyone ready. It will happen the night after."

Aj nodded, "Okay. Are you sure about this?"

Namjoon looked ahead and sighed, "Yeah. He has a lot of people to take care of him in the capital. He doesn't need me there."

Jj looked at Aj before speaking, "What about you?"

Seokjin stepped back a little to make it look like he had just arrived. "Namjoon, I am ready to leave."

Namjoon looked back and smiled softly, "Okay." He turned to the twins, "See you tomorrow." He naturally offered his hand to Seokjin. Seokjin took it after looking at the hand for a second.

The wind was softly blowing in the moonlight. Seokjin had requested Namjoon to take a walk on the beach. Namjoon had argued, but he complied anyway. The waves were calm. The moon was shining brightly. They sat on the shore, watching the waves slowly coming in and going out. They had not spoken anything ever since they reached the shore. Namjoon followed him silently. He couldn't understand why Seokjin was so stuck on taking a walk. He figured maybe Seokjin wanted something to calm him down.

Seokjin took a deep breath, "Namjoon..." Namjoon hummed in response. "I know the contract ended a while ago, but you are still taking good care of me. Thank you."

Namjoon chuckled, "You don't have to thank me. I told you, I am really loyal when it comes to work."

Seokjin didn't like how that sentence sounded. The winds carried the sentence longer than Seokjin liked. He was angry at himself for bringing the contract up. He wished they had met in a different setting. Seokjin turned to Namjoon, "I can't believe we came so far in just two months."

Namjoon nodded, "I know. I was a bit worried that you wouldn't trust me after knowing that I came to the capital to kill his highness."

"The reaction that day was really unnecessary, though." Seokjin looked at his hands, "Jimin is right. When it comes to him, I turn tyrannical."

"Well, I would do the same if it was Taehyung," Namjoon argued.

Seokjin sighed, "When I first found him after the crash, he was terrified. He looked so small in my arms. His clothes were torn, and he had some burning marks on his body. He kept crying and apologizing constantly. He thought it was his fault, and I had a hard time making him believe that it was not. I had to save him from all the politics and the family."

Namjoon looked at him with a smile, "And you did a great job."

Seokjin made a small voice as if denying the claim, "I think I was overprotective. Forgot to be an older brother to become a perfect emperor. Basically, taking away the only family member he had."

Namjoon turned to the sea, "At least you were with him. I ran away without Taehyung, leaving him with that woman to suffer."

Seokjin scoffed, "You were young."

"So were you." Namjoon pointed out.

Seokjin let out a breath through his lips. He leaned his head on Namjoon's shoulder, "I think the first thing I do when I am back is try to reestablish my relationship with Jimin, Yoongi and Hoseok. Maybe they will forgive me for being an asshole for all these years."
