"Why are you here?"

Seokjin turned back to find a gun pointed at him.

Seokjin chuckled, "I didn't think you would be so dumb to point your gun at the emperor, my dear uncle."

Kim Hanseo was the cousin removed from his father's side three times. He never liked Seokjin, mostly because he thought that Seokjin was the reason why the entire family had suffered. And partly because he was eyeing the throne for a very long time. In his younger days, he looked like he could ruin any model's career if he chose the industry. But as he aged, he started becoming like a typical old man. His back started hunching a little, his hair was grey, and his skin loosened. Though people said it was age, Seokjin believed it was all the stress he went through in the process of dethroning him. Hanseo was wearing a t-shirt with a knitted sweater and had a cane in his hand to support his body.

Hanseo tightened his grip on the gun, "You have no right to come to visit hyung and noona. They are here because of you." He looked at the tombstones and turned to Seokjin again, "I wouldn't be roaming around alone so confidently if I were you, Your Highness."

Seokjin scoffed. He knew Hansoe's 'Your Highness' was intentional. He smirked a little, "It's your majesty now. And I am not alone."

"Huh?" Before Hanseo could understand anything, he saw a huge figure from his peripheral vision. Everything happened too quickly for Hansoe even to comprehend what was going on. One moment, he was pointing a gun at Seokjin and next, a huge man was covering Seokjin and pointing the gun at him. He had snatched Hanseo's gun so efficiently that he didn't even notice the gun missing from his hand.

Seokjin peeked from behind with a bratty smile, "I told you I wasn't alone."

Hanseo's eyes immediately widened when he recognized the person before him, "Kim Namjoon."

Seokjin raised his eyebrows, "You know him?"

Hanseo started laughing obnoxiously loudly. He looked at Seokjin, "You really made it easier for me, Seokjin." He looked at Namjoon, "Kim Namjoon-shi, I know who you are. And I know you hate Seokjin to his core. I don't know what offer Seokjin has given you, but I will give you a better offer. If you kill Seokjin right now, I will make sure that you and your subordinates walk free from every case that is registered in your name. Even internationally."

Seokjin got scared a little. He hadn't even talked about Namjoon and Jungkook's charges internationally. How would he counter that offer? What if Namjoon accepted the offer and killed Seokjin? He was thinking about a better offer when he heard Namjoon laugh. It sounded like thunder. It scared Seokjin more. Could he trust Namjoon after this?

"Do you think I am that easy to convince?" Namjoon tilted his head, the gun still pointing at Hanseo, "Why don't you try a little harder?"

Hanseo got a little nervous, "Well..." He stuttered a little, "When I ascend the throne, I will give you an important position."

Namjoon pursed his lips and hummed, "And what about my subordinates? There are nine of them."

Hanseo blinked a little, "I will give them respectable jobs. All of them."

Namjoon looked over his shoulder, "His offer is really better than yours. Are you not going to counter it?"

Seokjin glared at Namjoon, "I have already given you all I could. Now it's up to you."

Hanseo scoffed, "See, Seokjin can't even promise you a better future."

Namjoon tightened his grip on the gun, "Get out of here."

The statement shocked both Hanseo and Seokjin. Hanseo took a step back, "You will regret this."

"I don't know how stupid you have to be not to understand your position." Namjoon snared. "I will protect Seokjin with my last fucking breath. If you don't get out of here in the next five minutes, the bullet from this gun will pass right through your head. And we both know that I don't give empty threats."
