Music blared throughout my headphones as I finished running down my last block. My legs begged me to stop and give them a break. I felt something hit my neck as I slowed down. I looked up just as my face got pelted by the crying sky. The rain drops slid down my face and I closed my eyes. For a moment I stayed frozen;  letting my body fully relax. My lungs were working on overdrive as I tried to catch my breath. I needed to get out of that apartment just for a second.

I was so confused lately about Harry. What exactly where we doing? Are we just not going to mention the other night where we drunkenly threw ourselves at each other? Not that I mind, don't get me wrong. It was pure bliss. I swear I could still feel his lips pressed against my neck and that thought sent shivers down my spine. Now I'm just confused as ever.

I reopened my eyes and started to jog the rest of the way and into the hotel. I opted for the stairs rather the elevator. I turned off my music as I got to the boy's room and knocked twice. A smiling blonde answered. "How was your run, Chris?" Niall asked.

"Much needed," I replied. "I can't believe Liam ditched though. Where did he go?" I walked over to the kitchen and grabbed a cup from the cabinet.

"He was being super secretive but I think it was to go meet that girl that has caught his eye," Niall concluded. I filled the cup with water and turned to look at him.

"That's sweet," I said in between sips. "Good for him."

"Yeah," Niall said with a soft smile. "Chris," he hesitated. I raised my eyebrows at him. "I just wanted to say that I'm sorry. I realize how much of a dick I was. It's honestly no excuse that I didn't contact you. Yeah, Harry is my mate and all but you're my best friend. You're practically my little sister and I shouldn't have deserted you like that. I was such an asshole because I kept contact with Abi-"

"Niall, woah," I cut him off. "It's all okay. You've already apologized. You shouldn't keep beating yourself up over this."

"I just feel awful and I want you to know I'm truly sorry. I love you Christina."

"I love you too, Niall," I smiled at him. I set my glass down and gave him a quick hug because I was too sweaty from my run to hug him for longer. "We're good, okay? Don't beat yourself up anymore over this. Forgiven and forgotten." My words caused Niall to grin from cheek to cheek. "Now where is everyone?"

"I think Haz is in his room. Zayn, Lou, Sarah, and Tammy all went shopping. Abigail is taking a shower so I was just chilling out here."

"Oh, cool." I nodded. I tried to keep my expression nonchalant when he mentioned Harry. "Any big plans tonight?"

"Not that I know of. I'll ask though," Niall replied while pulling out his phone.

"Alright, I'm going to go freshen up," I stated. Niall nodded as I walked out of the room and down the hall. My eyes drifted to Harry's door but I kept walking. I'll chat with him after I clean up. The shower was heaven. I closed my eyes as the warm water cascaded down my back. I massaged my scalp and tried to comb through the tangles. The minutes ticked by as I stayed in the shower. I didn't want to get out. I leaned back against the cool tile and let out a breath. I just had to woman up and confront Harry, again. Last night was progress but what are we now? Are we friends? If even that. I can't keep this hot and cold act going on. I just wanted answers about how he felt. I opened my eyes and rinsed my hair one last time. I turned off the shower and pulled the curtain back, the air conditioning hitting my skin causing instant goosebumps.
