You brought the best of me;
A part of me I've never seeen
You took my soul and wiped it clean;
Our love was made for movie screens
But if you loved me, why you'd leave me?
I laid in bed as my alarm went off. I didn't move an inch as the unfamiliar song floated around the room. Every word vibrated deep inside my heart. Closing my eyes, I was lost for a moment. Flashes of memories swarmed to me but this time I didn't feel hurt. I felt numb. I no longer felt like my world was ending when I thought of Harry. This had to be a good sign.
Liam sent me a text that he would meet me downstairs in fifteen minutes with Niall. Pulling on an outfit and combing my hair, I was ready to walk to the breakfast buffet. Locking my room behind me, I took the elevator down. Nerves started to build up in the bottom of my stomach. Why was I so nervous? A small part of me was afraid Niall changed his mind. He could reject my friendship. I don't blame him. I was so unfair to him compared to Liam. Before I could turn around and run back upstairs, I was in the entry way. Liam and Niall were sitting towards the back- both of their plates filled to the brim with endless breakfast items. As I approached, Niall stood up with unreadable eyes.
At that moment, I didn't care if he had started to resent me. I launched myself into his arms and squeezed him tight. "I'm sorry, Niall. I apologize for being the cold hearted bitch to you. You didn't deserve it."
Niall slowly wrapped his arms around me and squeezed. Relief washed through my body at the gesture. "It's okay. I was so scared I lost you as a friend forever," he rocked us back slightly before pulling away. "But if you're ever like that to me again- I won't let you off so easy," his chuckle reassured me. Everything was falling back into place. "Now sit because I'm starving."
Loading up my own plate of food, I sat next to Niall with a genuine smile on my face. He shoveled bacon into his mouth, looking like a chipmunk with full cheeks. Liam and I shared a laugh as Niall ignored us. "I'm happy that this is all cleared up," Liam commented. I nodded in agreement.
"I really missed you guys," I confessed. "How's Abby?"
Niall's eyes went wide as I asked him about his lady friend. He gave me a sheepish smile as he swallowed his food. "She's... She's good. I think the lass is getting into California soon. She's sort of..."
"I know." Following them on tour. I pushed back the jealously that was building up. Simon had cut off contact from me- not Sarah or Abby. I can't be mad at Niall for following orders. "She told me at graduation."
"How was graduation? I wish we could have been there." Liam admitted. "It would of been cool to experience that. I love what we do but sometimes I wish we had normal lives."
"Graduation was boring," I answered. My lips pulled into a tiny smile,"Maybe we will have to throw you a graduation. You'll have to sit there for three hours as we drone on with speeches and list over five hundred names."
"You know what I mean," Liam shot me a playful glare. "Like, prom... I wish I had gone to that."
"Me too." It came out before I could stop it.
"You didn't go?" Niall stopped eating as he chimed into the conversation.
"I'm sure Sarah and Abigail all kept you in the loop... When y'all left... I wasn't really feeling the whole prom thing... School thing..."
